Nah, it's just from personal experience, and the experiences of people posting on here.

When I started shopping on AE in like 2018, I used to receive parcels with a certain reliability.
I could track registered parcels, and I recieved them in roughly A month ± 1 week.

I have lost a few small untracked parcels with them, but this was during covid panics and lockdown.

There have been some regulatory changes to NIPOST under the Buhari administration, an attempt to financialize NIPOST, since then the quality of service seems even worse and slow now.

And I've gotten a much worse experience with them now, even with Standard AliExpress shipping, with tracking.
The last and most recent order (some SSDs) I got from them, stopped tracking after arriving Nigeria, and took another 2 months to arrive my Nipost office.

Went to Nahco's office yesterday just as someone suggested here. Was referred to their post office only to get the same response from my post office - tracking number not valid. I've requested for a refund on aliexpress anyway. Tired of the back and forth.

That item is with nipost.
Back then you get real time update on your item location, not anymore.
You could pick up your item and after many days the tracking details will still be showing "custom clearance complete"

Even with the purported high price, you can still get the watch cheaper during major sales on AliExpress, like the just concluded. Knowledge of 'coupon and coin' combination during checkout is what it requires.
In fact, I got one KUMI smartwatch for as low as $12 (around 18k). The selling price during the sales was $41( about 60k). So interesting!

True. with the coupon aliexpress offers shoppers. There's no way their items will be costlier after applying discount.
I recently bought the Anker p20i for less than $8 before applying UBA payment discount

This should be Malaysia post.
The next update will be it's arrival at local delivery company. Minimum 11 days after arrival.

I'll advise that you exercise some patience and be hopeful to receive the item.

According to your tracking info, the order arrived destination about 7 days ago, and one thing to note is that the package could still experience some local logistics delay on it's way to your location (no thanks to Nipost lackadaisical attitude), especially if you're outside Lagos.

So, keep your fingers cross and look forward to receiving the order.

It is Malaysia Post. This next update will means it's in lagos or in Benin?, Because I'm in Benin. I miss those days when nipost was efficient. I just hope it scales through custom or atleast the duty is small, it's just a $350 tab though

Guys abeg what's the easiest way to go for this type of refund as I'm hearing news recently about Aliexpress delaying refunds or opting for coupons settlements

I ordered a hand fan following reviews gallery pics but when the fan arrived today, it was a complete knock off of the pics displayed by reviews, looks similar but not same, a serious knock off

Same thing nearly happened to me last year when i wanted to order soundcore boom 2 but it was actually a soundcore boom 2 se, they did put display pics of boom 2 but was actually selling boom 2 se, after some weeks they now changed it but i was lucky i didn't place the order otherwise i could've gotten a boom 2 se of 30 watts in place of boom 2 of 60/80 watts, i just don't know why all these deceptions woth them even highly recognised brands are not exempted

What's the best REASON option to choose in this type of situation for me not to loose the refund

I use opay to recieve my last refund. It was with the same opay I made payment for it. I always use opay for all my transaction in aliexpress.

I don't just order on random days. I target sales.
$33 is the current price. When I bought mine, it was $17 thereabout, I even got an $8 dollar store coupon.
One thing I've come to know in my over 10 years of using AliExpress is that, there's always a great offer somewhere in the app.
If you navigate occasionally through the app as I do, you'd certainly come across many.
Let me share this: during the black friday sale, I just stumbled on a Haylou headphone of about $35 at $6 excluding shipping.
I ended up spending $7 thereabout in total.
