Pongolle and Chrisantus for me and that's cos their club career was also wacky. Saviola actually did well for himself as he played in the biggest competitions and dazzled.
Ogbeche was a fluke and so was most in that list. Borjan Krkic was too small to really make a lasting impact in football and that showed.
Too many worthy talents in this generation as against now. This was when football was sweet.

The guy no watch am...e just hear about am... na small pikin... he dint watch that under 17 abi under na under 20 world cup in 2007 ... we defeated Germany I'm the semis with Neuer in goal and kroose ... kroos mistakenly hit a long back pass to his keeper that gave us a 2 goal lead that ended their chances ...the guy cry that day... we then ended up beating Spain in the final with De Gea in post for Spain.... alot of those European players ended up having flourishing careers while no single Nigerian player made it despite winning that tournament....

I won't say he didn't leave up to his potential. He was the all time highest goal scorer in Indian Football League until recently. He stopped playing some years ago. Nigerians think it's the bicycle kick that earned him a place but wherever he played, he was still consistent. Our problem is not the lack of talent, it's the abundance of talent and how to manage it.

His case is like Yakubu who because of his 2010 mistake Nigerians wrote him off. Meanwhile he's still honored in the EPL. Nigerians can be clownish 🤡 some times. Make sure you don't let them fail you or else you will fail yourself.
