Dangote is just targeting the guy, because he is standing up to Dangote most likely. Very few people can stand up to him in the North.
They can disagree on policies and issues. Dangote can get financial forensics against Farouk Ahmed. Like documents showing how the money is siphoned from government coffers.
But saying a man is corrupt because he lives above his means in Nigeria. Is not really a good way to catch a thief. There are millions of people in Nigeria living above their means. Even the president was accused of living above his means.
Dangote's wealth might be public knowledge, but in Nigeria......Nobody's wealth is public knowledge other than him and a few others.
There are people in Nigeria with private jets and they don't have a job or any known business.
5 million dollars is not a big deal.
I agree with you om dangote style of fighting back, about people leaving above thier wages but why do you keep mentioning tinubu why not mention Atiku, obi, kwankwaso etc. Lol you gave a brilliant submission and not spoiled it with your political infusion of one sided analysis.

Oga. Lifestyle is A KEY investigative tool used by law enforcement EVERYWHERE in the civilized world to investigate crime and all manner of misdemeanors.
Investigation is not a pronouncement of guilt or otherwise, it is a process of knowledge acquisition. If he is innocent he will gladly provide proof and then can proceed to counter the accusation.
And by the way I really think you need to find out how your security man survives on the wages you pay. I really do. It can mean a lot for the functions you assume he provides. Don't be like Nigeria. Find out for your safety and well-being.
How many Nigerian public servants live above their means of livelihood. Dangote has been in the public foray for over 30 years.
Why did he wake up today to see his first case of excessive lifestyle public servant.
Can he swear with the Koran, this is the first case he is witnessing ?
Is this accusation related with the ongoing tussle with NMDPRA crude allocation ?
If Dangote had his way with NMDPRA, would he have reported Farouk Ahmed ?
Let Dangote sponsor a bill in the Nigeria senate, that no public servant should send his children to schools abroad more expensive than his income in Nigeria. Then we know he is launching a crusade against corruption.
But picking a man he is currently fighting with doesn't have good optics.....it reeks of vindictiveness and being malicious.

I have edited and added more people. I mentioned Tinubu because he had 2 private jets after being governor of Lagos.

You and I both know that even if he has legitimately earned larger than average salaries in his oil and gas career, he wouldn't consider paying such huge sums as school fees in Switzerland of all places if he didn't have access to monies earned by graft. Even some more prestigious boarding schools in England charge less than Le Rosey.
malali:
Institut Le Rosey (Rolle & Gstaad)
$110,000–$135,000 per year
The most expensive boarding school in Switzerland.

6 years for 4 children at 135k per years is $3.2 million dollars.
Not 5 million dollars.

Farouk Ahmed Oil & Gas industry roles (Nigeria & abroad):
• Started professionally as a Logic Board Verification Engineer at Apple Inc. in Dallas, TX, USA before moving into the energy sector.
• Senior Crude Oil Trader – Duke Oil Inc.
• Manager, Crude Oil Export Programming & Nominations, Shipping & Terminals (NNPC)
• Executive Director (Commercial) – Petroleum Products Marketing Company (PPMC)
• Managing Director – NiDAS Marine Limited (NNPC/DAWOO Joint Venture)
• Executive Secretary – Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Authority (PPPRA)
• Managing Director – PPMC
• Special Adviser (Downstream) to the Group Managing Director, NNPC
. Chief Executive Officer, Nigerian Midstream And Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA)

Dangote really thinks someone who has held all this post in Nigeria doesn't have 5 million dollars......... grin grin grin grin grin grin

How do you know he didn't make it in the stock market ?
Unless Dangote has evidence of misappropriated funds from NMDPRA, with documented evidence, this is defamation. Farouk should sue Dangote for false allegations and intent to defame. Money could have been inheritance, gifts, investments etc.
Do you know how many people have unexplained wealth in Nigeria, starting from Asiwaju Jagaban Tinubu ?
I suspect the Tinubu-cabal wants to remove Farouk Ahmed, they are just using Dangote to do the dirty job.

NO PADI FOR JUNGLE.

Surprise, surprise
He is not the only public civil servant with children in Le Rosey
I know more people with salaries even lower than Farouk Ahmed.
If we really want to fight corruption, lets out all of them and flush them out.

Thus, Dangote became ruthless. Most of the evils bedevilling this country are from the North. Corruption is institutionalised there. Till tomorrow, nobody has questioned Mele Kyari, who committed NNPC to debts of billions of dollars in repairing the moribund refineries
..abi..now mele kyari is now enjoying the money

Thanks, i get emotional sometimes, like this case. Dangote has many friends that dont take their bath daily (are corrupt).
But he gets in a fight with Farouk Ahmed.
Then he rushes to the media houses, and starts shouting that Farouk is smelling and has body odor. That sanitary inspectors should go to Farouks house, He has not showered in days.....LOL
Dangote fully well knows most of his friends don't shower (are corrupt)
Why is he picking on Farouk Ahmed ?
Knowing fully well over 50 of his public servant friends don't shower (are corrupt)

Dangote is corrupt himself, and I guess Otedola gave him the tactics, just as he did is then under obasanjo. How did he get so much information about the guy? Money can do all things. It's like if you try to destroy my business, I will destroy you first. When his family MRS were taking fake subsidy money then, Farouk was not corrupt. The Farouk guess refused to dance to Dangote's simple.

But at least he had money.
No Nigerian can afford a school in Chicago on government salary at that time.
He either had scholarship or his parents had money
Or he was a businessman like Tinubu
What's the source of his money or his parents money? This is why divide between the poor and the rich will remain extremely high in Nigeria.I know graduates in Nigeria and earning ₦50,000 as salary monthly. Yet somehow, you don't see anything wrong with someone using almost ₦7billion naira to pay his kids tuition. Now, I'm not ignoring the fact as you say that Dangote is singling out Farouk Ahmad. It's always about interesta and people would do whatever they deem fit to protect their personal interests. But it doesn't justify you supporting a public appointed to head a position paying billions in naira for tuition for his kids. In. A country where country that pays $50 as minimum wage as salary? $50 * 1500/$ = ₦75,000 . Haba... Make una dey fear God. And you keep saying $5million is next to nothing or not much. How much do you have please?

so you've established the fact that his salary cannot afford to cover for the tuition fees he's paying. You're inherently saying, the funds from come from proceeds of corruption.

Do you know if he is inherently wealthy.
Inheritance, commodity trader,stocks,real estate etc
I am wealthier than my salary too.
My kids also go to schools more expensive than my salary.
Thats not proof.
Where funds embezzled in NMDPRA ?
Or are you basing corruption on his children school fees ?

I am not defending Farouk Ahmed.

When President Tinubu ordered the withdrawal of police escorts from VIPs, he made a blanket announcement: all police attached to VIPs were to return to duty immediately. He did not single out Peter Obi or Atiku. That is how rules are supposed to work in a serious country, general, neutral, and universal.

My point is simple: when you make a rule, it must apply to everyone, not only to your rival or antagonist.

If Dangote truly wants to fight corruption, let him sponsor a bill in the Nigerian Senate mandating that all public officials educate their children in Nigerian schools. That would be a structural, systemic reform, and I would support him without hesitation.

But using corruption allegations selectively to win a personal or commercial battle with Farouk Ahmed is not reform. Nigerians are not naïve. We know corruption exists. What we are looking for is a credible, principled anti-corruption fight, not a weaponized narrative deployed when business interests collide.

Real reform targets systems, not just enemies.

Go to the school in question, a lot of Nigerians are there and their parents salary is less than Farouk Ahmed.
This allegation would have held if Dangote was not entangled with Farouk Ahmed on NMDPRA Oil allocation tussle.
But this is just a vindictive and malicious defamatory allegation at its best.
Dangote has never being an activist corruption fighter.....Why now ?
According to google, there are around 58 to 60 million millionaires in USD in the world. A large percentage of these millionaires are in the USA and most of them are business owners, investors or top staff in large corporations.

You say 5 million USD is not a lot of money as if it's easy to come by $1m.

How did he make 5 million USD as a govt worker and even in the jobs he had in the past.

I clearly wrote millionaire and not billionaire you mentioned. Now compare the percentage of those millionaires in USD to the worlds population and you find out that those millionaires and billionaires as you mentioned are not up to 2% of the entire world's population.

Now say again that 5 million USD is not a lot of money. If you say it is, just show us a paycheck or an investment you own that is worth more than 5 million USD

Dont let poverty affect your intelligence.
If the world has over 3000 billionaires, then definitely we have more millionaires than the 50-60 you mentioned.

You're the one that's been saying $5million dollars is chicken change. If 7.5billion naira is chicken change to you. Surely you shouldn't have a problem doleing out a meagre ₦500k. Except of course. You're extremely poor yourself. You're poor but you're defending the same people that are responsible for your poverty. Suffering and smiling as Fela would say. Either ways. My point is. I am not supporting Farouk Ahmed. Dont get me wrong. My Question is 1- Dangote has being in the Nigerian government circles for at least 35 years. Why is he championing corruption allegation fight against Farouk Ahmed today ?
2- Is this the first time Dangote is seeing corrupt Nigerian officials ?
3-Does he have a secondary motive and is conveniently using corruption to execute his intent to have Farouk Ahmed removed due to their crude allocation tussle, that has been going on for a few years ?
4-Can Dangote come out openly to say he has never been involved in any corrupt practices or bribery of government officials in his business endeavors ?

5- If we want to make a rule, that all public servants children should school in Nigeria (Which was proposed by senator Basheer Lado of Kano in the last administration). Then we should make that rule.
6- However we will not allow corruption which is rampant to be used in settling scores. Thats what i am against.
7-Dangote should sponsor a bill in the senate, that all public servants should school their children in Nigeria, and anyone sending his schools abroad must resign from public service.
1. Dangote is championing the fight against the corrupt guy because Dangote is a human and a citizen, and it is his obligation to do what he is doing, just as it is yours and mine.
2.No, this is not the first time Dangote, you and I are seeing corrupt Nigerian officials, but this is the time Dangote has the balls to escalate it, it may have gotten to his neck and he has the muscle to voice and , and his voice is quite one Nigeria cannot wave off easily. You and I may only end at ranting on social media, even if we go to court, the corrupt guy will use the system to waste your time and resources and still bribe his way out.
3. Whatever motive he has, the question is "Is farouk corrupt?" if yes, he should be punished.
4. Even if Dangote comes to say he himself is not corrupt, it he may be a liar, just like almost all your politicians. Amaechi came openly to say it. Was he lying? You and I know the answer. But tell farouk or any other, if they have a thing on dangote, they should blow the whistle as weel, simple.
5. If you check your constitution, you may find that already, but the big guys know that the hoi-poloi are just as useless as their slaves, and since they are all in it, who care about effecting the law. It is your responsibility to bring them to account
6. Not true. If he wants to use to settle score, so be it, so long as the thief is culpable.
7. you can as well sponsor the bill, dangot is a citizen, just like you and I.

please let´s stop being on the side of evil in this country. i always wonder, WILL NIGERIA EVER GET BETTER WITH THE WAY THINGS ARE GOING AND HOW THE OPPRESSED CITIZENS RUSH TO DEFEND THEIR OPPRESSORS BECAUSE OF SOME AFFILIATIONS?
