HeavenlyBang:
You can renew with the MTN App, used it last night.
You can also fund your wallet on the Fibre dashboard, yes auto renewal works.
Noticed that one can’t subscribe for multiple months, I remember seeing that option sometime ago.
How does one renew before it expires? There’s a notice that mentioned deactivation of current plan.

Someone said a while ago here that NCC prohibited them from continuing with the long-term plans.

Its really frustrating because it took almost 3 weeks after installation of constant calling for them to activate it and after 3days this happened and I've been calling them and they're saying they've sent an email check back tomorrow 🤦‍♂️
I'm currently facing this, they just keep posting me with 24-72 hrs, when they finally activated it for you was it via call or text or did you just one day meet it working

My fibre of a week is yet to be activated, a person called me to activate it but said they couldn't see my device on their system, has this happened to anyone here ?

If you don’t mind, could you please explain the funding of wallet.

There's a Fibre wallet that you can fund and then they take the subscription from it. Never used it to subscribe but when I was given a free subscription last month I just woke up and saw 25k in the wallet and then it was automatically used to pay when due.

How many days after installation was it activated? Mine has been 4 days and it hasn't been activated. I've really been disappointed with them, took over one month after payment to install, now 4 days no service yet.
Hello did it ever get activated ? If yes how long did it take ?

You'll have to really give them hell before they move their ass and do the needful, mine took about a week after installation before it started working, there is no body I didn't call in mtn,I almost called the MD self, before they decided to activate it. My next door neighbour that was doing gentleman with them suffered o,my one month subscription had expired before his own started working

This simply means that it has not been registered in their system. Do you have an FN ID number,if no,one has to be generated for you before any thing can be done.
I had the same problem, but the lady that I spoke with when I called 217 help desk asked me some questions and sorted it out for me and I was activated after 48hrs. One more thing, your router has to be on 24/7 so that they can access it when ever they are ready to activate it

Have you reached out to the installer/agent, and also keep calling 217.

Since you are in Abuja, walk into their head office in Maitama. Go to the reception and ask to see a broadband staff.

If it blinking red, that means something is most likely wrong with the connection maybe bad cable or something

Mine is the same thing. Blinking green but no configuration yet. I called one of the engineers and he confirmed that there is an issue, mine has not been activated 8 days after installation. He said I am not alone as they are facing an issue on the configuration and it's only when they are configured remotely they can be activated.

I have called them out on twitter, Facebook and tiktok. I honestly don't think the issue is small, because the words the guy used was that the team are in the "war room" trying to figure out the issue. My own is even particularly frustrating because my airtel unlimited has expired and I bought this mtn 15 days before the airtel expires so I will have internet.

It's honestly frustrating

Please where do you stay in Ikorodu that has Fibre? Please don't air me o.

Blinking red means there is no power on the device stationed outside. Tell the engineer that installed it to call mtn to activate the power on the device outside.

The fibre that I know works is in ebute and idi agbalumo as per the mtn registration app, places like igboluwo, lowa and I think agric, owode-ibeshe have newly installed fibre poles with the FAT splitter installed and working but they aren't yet present on the mtn app for registration. I'm guessing there are lots of other places with poles but not yet available on the mtn app registration page. From what I'm seeing sales reps in ikorodu would simply register you with ebute or the other place on the app even though that's not your location then they would install it in your area, whether this is the root of the issue or inconsequential I do not know, customer care too are extremely cryptic and unhelpful, I've just removed my mind from it for now.

2. Speed test on an iPhone 15.
3. MTN FibreX ZTE F670l router with power bank attached

Feel free to ask any questions.
my mtn 5g is actually faster than this as I am getting up to 80something mbps

nani667:
If it is on a street down the road I am sure it can easily be extended to your street. That will probably be the Job of the agent that comes to do the installation.

In my case it also wasn't in my street, my street was not part of the locations available.. but some other streets in my estate were available, there were also some areas just outside my estate.

So what I just did while filling out the form on their website was to select the closest street to mine.

When the agent came around the connection ran from outside my street. The installation took about four to five hours.

And the rest is history 😏
did you provide any ladder for them cause me I no understand this ladder talk.

Obviously? I get 300mbps on MTN 5G. If you want higher Fiber speeds, you pay for the higher tiers.

Speaking of which, MTN has now introduced a Gigabit FibreX plan. 200k monthly.

Ok that makes sense. The fiberX I paid for almost 3 weeks now. They have still not come to install it nor did I get any call from Amy agent. The marketer kept giving different excuse.
