He will never ever rest in that Hell fire. He set the pace that this clueless and incompetent Tinubu followed. The destruction of Nigeria and everything evil started with him, cemented by Tinubu. |

Why should he be allowed to rest in peace when you and him have made Nigeria a non-peaceful or restful country? |

Rest in peace for destroying our country? By the way is it not your coalition of crooks making the biography about Buhari a social media stunt? El rufai you are now scared Aisha might at point a finger at you and you are now jittery over it. One thing that is still funny to me about those genetically confused Nigeria Emergency Citizen who sees this genocide criminal as their new messiah is El rufai son is a senator under same govt he is criticising which mean all his criticism is a "leap service political the more you look the less you see". Una go hear word by force. |

AMINDA:True Buharists indeed. A man that cannot go against his own ethnic group is not a man. A man that cannot go against his brother of the same parents when they are wrong is not a man. I remember when Gani Fawehinmi went against Tinubu in the " Chicago Saga '. in 2000's. Let me tell you what I read in Punch Newspaper written by a Hausa man in Kano who sent in a colomn. " I had always thought Gani Fawehinmi's quest for Justice had ethnic undertones since must of the time a Hausa leader was the president at that time and Fawehinmi was always going against the government ". My wife had always praised him but I dismissed him as a Yoruba freedom fighter. I could not believe my eyes when I was reading Punch Newspaper and I read an article that Fawehinmi was going to court over Tinubu's certificate. As I read I was so over taken by emotion that I stood up and started clapping, my wife came in to ask what was all the loud clapping about.... I told her with excitement " Fawehinmi is taking Tinubu to court over his certificate ". She just looked at me in indifference " I told you that is the type of man he is " Omo the Hausa went on to Praise Fawehinmi to the heavens. A man that cannot go against his family when they are wrong is not a man, but a little boy hiding under his father |

JASONjnr:Sometimes when I see what people like you post on this forum I shudder. God will one day give us a leader who will make people fear to take up political appointment because they know that they will be dealt with if they mismanaged the trust reposed on them. |

You want Nigerians to allow Buhari rest in peace while people are still nursing the injuries from the hardship he inflicted on Nigerians. He will continue to suffer even in the grave |

You only find this one and his inebriated outbursts whenever it is time to defend fulani oligarchy/imperialism and those brutal figures who are the harbingers of fulani attempts at primitive colonialism in Nigeria.. |

This is part of our problem in this country. We never want to address issues. If we don't critically analyse the tenure of a president, how can we learn critical lessons for the future? Till this day books are still being written about leaders like Churchill, Hitler Regan... |

AMINDA:Oh please, give it a rest in extolling PMB. He was a failure through and through and proved most right that Idiagbon was really the firepower during the militiary era. Little wonder the coupist had to wait for him to travel before striking. So much was expected of PMB in tackling corruption and insecurity and he ended up delivering nothing. |

| Re: Let President Muhammadu Buhari Rest In Peace - Nasir El-Rufai by nairalanda1(m): 8:51am On Dec 18, 2025 |
Well, anytime anyone is in power in nigeria, they can't rest in peace, because people will write books and talk about them even when they pass on. We still have people writing about the late John F. Kennedy, even though it has been 62 years since he died. At least one new book on that era came out this year self. |

erniok2:What people expected of buhari in 2015 was army buhari...who could pass a decree and 200 people would be in jail for corruption The problem is, you can't do that in a civillian government. You got to go through the court process, you got to have a proper investigation beforehand, and you got to have proof and witnesses. And as for passing anti-corruption laws...you can't pass a decree 'army style'...you would be impeached, and for good reasons (and even 'sensible people' will support your impeachement) The above is why the army appears to look better at tackling corruption (and I won't deny that it is very satisfying to read about how some really godawful characters during the first and second republic got their just desserts, for a while even)...but fighting corruption without due process can lead to abuses like Pa Ajasin spending 9 months in detention in 1984 before they determined he had actually stolen nothing as governor of old Ondo state. And it can set a dangerous preccedent. No due process always ends up affecting completely innocent people. Remember the purges of the USSR in the 1930's...by 1991, most of the people purged and executed by fiat were 'rehabilitated' (lol) Also, civillians tend to make alliances to get into power. And that means making alliances with unsavoury corrupt people (see our current leader for example, but also see many past civillan leaders). A civillian president who actively fights corruption even in the ranks of his own people is not going to last long in power in nigeria...which is why we have repeatedly had the paradox of the incorruptible leader in nigeria surrounded by corrupt associates. Such a president would be impeached and replaced with a more malleable successor. And the show will continue. Yeah, Yaradua for example did fight corupption, by reducing it in the civil service, but note that he did not collect any major scalps in the elite because he would have been kicked out of office.(he even did not go after Ibori, but rather chose to let the UK get him) |

kerry57:But saying it behind him is the issue here?? How can he possibly defend himself and mostly those who were stayed very close to him are not even part of those who are championing this book How is it possible to outsiders and critics to know more about a person than those close to them? Whatever it is, Tinubu himself have proven to be worse than Buhari, so there's nothing to write home about here |
