Two pieces are more than enough for me. I’ve always preferred the unripe ones—there’s just something about that distinct taste when it’s eaten with the right ‘village’ oil and salt. It’s pure nostalgia. The ones you find in the city these days don't even compare; they are either poorly roasted or overripe and mushy. Nothing beats that firm, traditional taste. 12 Likes 1 Share |

Boli and fish is the real deal. I prefer unripe plantain with smoked mackerel in pepper sauce. I will surely devour four to five at a spot, then step it down with chilled zobo. BTW, beware of overripe plantain and dodo if you're 40+. 10 Likes 2 Shares |

After roasting, all the nutrients and water will just fade out in it. Then you did be eating charcoal strands. Back then sha, unripe roasted plantain was a bomb paired with g-nuts. I eat it as appetizer or snack sha, can never have it for main dish. 2 Likes |
