I will speak based on what I have read in some quarters. The title was a new one bestowed on the late Subomi Balogun, it never existed before then. It was more for glamour but Wasiu made it look like it's a real kingship stuff self.

Otunba Subomi was the first Olori Omoba Akile. There was non before him. It was more of a ceremonial and honorary title bestowed on Otunba Subomi by the Late Awujale. Nothing to it.

KWAM 1 was installed based on his long acknowledged membership of the Fidipote ruling family. ....whatever appointment or coronation late Adetona had then, had nothing to do with succeeding kingship. The 4 royal Ijebu - Ode lineage denied knowing K1 or K2. Again you don't have to be royal family member before you become Olori Omo-Oba.

Nothing apart from good music. He opened a small bakery in Ijebu ode which folded up within two years though.
