So I’ve been toying with this whole carnivore‑only diet thing after seeing a bunch of influencers rave about it, and honestly, I’m kinda torn. Part of me is like, cool, simple meals, no calorie counting. But the other part is like… am I gonna mess up my insides long‑term? I’ve had stomach issues forever, and some folks claim this way of eating fixed theirs. Anyone here tried it for more than just a few weeks? Did it actually help, or did things get weird? I’d love some real‑world experiences before I jump in.

What's the end game of this carnivore diet? To gain weight? To lose weight? To build muscle mass? What exactly? Consuming all that animal protein can't be good for you on the long run, your body needs carbs other food clasees |

In this economy ke?? Dey play Also, humans are herbivores. Just look at our teeth. That's all you need to know. Before you talk about incisors, those are not for tearing meat. They're for breaking hard fruits like apples and Co. I love meat with every fibre of muscle in my body but the truth must be said. The human diet should consist of 80% greens and 20% proteins. If you check all the carnivores on this planet, none of them chew the meat. They swallow whole |

Here to learn. Never heard of it before. Our fathers never suffered themselves with diet like these and lived long in good health. This generation will be destroying their health with junk foods and other useless life style, then later come back to look for diet that will make them healthy. In summary, local food is bae. No do pass yourself in this economy. |

You will have deceased and cognitive functions problem. Like as someone have said above the humans are not designed for that kind of diet only. Look at the great ape. They are majorly on green diet maybe little protein. Human started cooking and food fermentation, and that is why our DNA altered into obesity. Pot belly and stretch mark Humans by default have a lane musle and can run very fast. But we have scroll everything from our change of diet, for our luxery and confort, discovery and technology we have depart. this have changed our DNA and many decreases are prevalent . You are better with vegetarian diet and a little protein. |

Proteins reduce human lifespan. Carnivore diet on the long run will reduce your lifespan. Best approach is to eat balanced diet and do intermittent fasting. Avoid continuous eating, have a daily fasting window like 7pm to 7am when you don't eat anything with calories. |

kasiramji06:Too much protein is not good for your health. If you must eat a lot of meat, then fish and maybe some chicken is okay. Cut down on cow meat and goat meat. as much as you can. Generally, meat of 2-legged animals e.g. chicken, turkey, etc are much healthier from meat of 4-legged animals e.g. cow, goat etc. |

LagosG:You make some valid points but humans are omnivores. we have grinding molars like herbivores, but also canines and incisors that, while modest, are useful for tearing. Our digestive system is the real tell, we have a relatively short digestive tract with significant stomach acid closer to carnivores than herbivores and we lack the specialized fermentation chambers that true herbivores need to break down cellulose. Cows have four stomach compartments, gorillas have enormous colons. We don't. The "carnivores don't chew" point is cherry-picked. many omnivores and even some carnivores do chew, and this doesn't tell us much about what humans should eat. |

I've tried it before and I can tell you for sure that it will help you lose weight (and fast). You will feel lighter and also start feeling "godlike" cos you will start having one kind of fake strength. The only downside is that it's expensive to maintain at the long run. To get the best out of it for the sake of your anus when going to toilet, always take it with enough vegetables or salad. If not you will know why carnivores animal's poo is usually hard. Bottomline is take it with vegetables o. Don't say I didn't tell you |

kasiramji06:Carnivore Diet is meant to treat mainly 1. Bloating issues caused by fiber (microbes have been bastardized due to too much antibiotics and antifungi) etc. 2. To address high blood sugar issues. Things you must know about it: 1. Your body converts protein to energy, so it is rare to have low blood issue even you are normal. You won't be easily affected 2. Your gut flora will change for the time you are consuming it and you will struggle with it if you keep doing it for long term. 3. If you have bloating problem, it is one of the best to address it. And if you have high blood issue, it is also one of the best. 4. Also, if you are battling candida infection, it is can be recommended with green leaves. Generally speaking, it is advised to add few vegetables even if you are suffering from bloating, but you may go into it straight. 5. The main challenge is constipation of your gut flora cannot process protein very well. You will hate yourself if you are constipated. But some won't be constipated. 6. Every one responds differently to it. Asking people's experience here does not guarantee it is OK for you. You will know if it's OK for you after trying it. My advice: Get ready to address constipation of you want to try it. And go on a short term. Check your bowel flow. If its getting a bit late, suspect constipation. If you have it and it is harder than usual, or you stay too long than usual (even you feel good while taking it), know that constipation is building up and you need to find a way to add fiber. You add fiber fast and see if your next visitation is OK. If you get constipated fast, stop it immediately and quickly use medication to pass out and do not go 100% into it. You may try more veggie. In such case, cut out only carbs and add enough vegetable. Experiment and see what's good for you. But it won't totally address what wrong with you. If there is infection, treat infection. If you have candida, na wahala. It is very stubborn. If you have h.pylori...Jesus is Lord. Also, don't forget to use probiotics if that is your problem. So, get a good evaluation (diangnose well) what is wrong with you before going into it. By the way, what stomach issues do you have? Best of luck! |

Wrong, meat contains virtually every nutrient humans need to survive, with only a few exceptions like vitamin C. There is no clinical deficiency that is associated with not eating carbohydrates. But there is for protein deficiency (hypoproteinaemia which results in "kwashiorkor'), calcium deficiency (Rickets) Vitamin c deficiency (scurvy) etc. The human body evolved to thrive on meat, fish and seasonally eat fruits. Carbs only became a thing when humans adopted agriculture, which was roughly just 12,000 years ago. dominique: |

If the end game is to lose weight, it will certainly help you. However, eating only animal products is not considered safe for long term health. Consider this, the body needs some nutrients that are hard to get from animal products (Vitamin C, fiber and potassium) Fiber for example is essential for healthy digestion and gut bacteria. Eating only animal products can also increase the risk of heart problems as they are high in fat and cholesterol |

The Mediterranean diet does stand out! Nothing else comes close. If you want to go extreme, follow the Dr Sebi’s alkaline food list guide. Diseases does not foster in an alkaline environment. |

LordBiden:wrong!combination of each classes of food is the best.(balanced diet)humans are omnivorous infact you can scrap carbohydrates and you will still get energy from meats and fats from oil even raw vegan diets and fruits doesn't contain all the classes of food only that the animal protein musn't be too much that is why people only on vegetables and fruits will look skiny, unhealthy, and may die of starvation and exhaustion later on.In 2008 a Usa lady died of starvation same with an Instagram influencer in 2023 they were both vegans and fruitarians there is nothing good in being skinny nor is it good to be obese too. |
