kasiramji06:This would be interesting to try and I am curious about it too. There is this lady I follow on Instagram. She eats just one meal a day and majority of her meals are carnivore. When you scroll through her Instagram from when she started such dieting until now, you can tell the difference. She looks fit and healthier with brighter skin tone now. Here is her Instagram handle (@omad_queen), maybe you can gain some insights from her page. |

fineboynl:you lie many successful human ancestors were meat eaters and they lived much healthier and stronger than non meat eating ones. Moderation is key to everything, they are vital nutrients we need and it can only be sourced from meat and fish and without them we die. |

Earthstorms:proteins are the building block of every organism don’t be ignorant |

Earthstorms:Proteins don't reduce lifespan. Please stop all these fallacies. Everyone has what works for them. My grandpa couldn't do without eggs and meat even in old age and he died just recently at the age of 92. He even died peacefully. He still even had a good memory and can remember a whole lot from many years ago. Proteins are very essential in every human's body. I eat meat, milk and eggs a lot and I can tell you that I can't even remember the last time I fell sick. I used to come down with malaria and all sorts but when I started getting serious with meat, fish, milk and eggs, it was as if I wasn't the same person anymore. My skin even became so fresh and my hair started looking better. Proteins are very important with adequate exercise to stay fit. If you don't take enough of them, you'll be malnourished and fall sick regularly. They are the building blocks of your body. Stop discouraging people. Vegetables and fruits cannot replace the work of those foods I mentioned there. |

That’s the best diet ever, don’t listen to anyone telling u otherwise. The most important thing is the type of meat you want to eat and how you prepare it. Avoid seasonings and use little salt and little oil or no oil if possible ,roast/grill over fire(if possible with aluminum foils) use enough pepper, add vegetables to help make up and you will have the best feelings of your life. Don’t forget vegetables and fruits, water melons, carrots etc. Goodluck |

OP you want to just kill yourself for nothing. Imagine downloading those proteins every day, yea i know it repairs worn-out tissues, but in the long run without other classes of food, you might break down. The best thing i discovered is fasting for some time, just know how much time is okay for you. The body repairs itself during fast, because when the body always digest food all the time, your cells, organs, body mechanism will be weakened and overworked plus being vulnerable. |

Fats and proteins metabolise into urea which is toxic to the kidneys...so good as proteins are...breaking them down is a hard job on kidneys and liver...so an exclusively proteins diet isn't a win as such either. |

Where do we get the records or facts that our parents or grand parents lived longer? The false repetition is assumed to be true with no facts at all.Humans are living longer in this era although some are getting sicker. bestman09: |
| Re: Is A Carnivore Only Diet Safe For Long‑Term Health? by fineboynl(m): 4:08pm On Dec 20, 2025 |
Tendd:in some case but not all. The major reason why they look older was because of their children and grandchildren. They simply married very early. Imagine a woman that married at 15. Give birth to 6. At 40. She has grown up grandchildren. By 80. She is already mother of 4 generation. If she has better gain she might get to 99. Another thing is suffering makes people to be stronger. They walk of feet everyday and can travel longer distances. People from edo use to walk to Yoruba land. But today apart from mad people ordinary humans can’t do that. |

Earthstorms:You goofed already. Stop dribbling . How dare you say proteins reduce lifespan? |
| Re: Is A Carnivore Only Diet Safe For Long‑Term Health? by Earthstorms(m): 6:17pm On Dec 22, 2025 |
Azazyel:High protein intake reduces lifespan in humans. You can do your own research about high protein intake and association with terminal diseases and lifespan impact. I am not here to teach you. This was even part of the secondary school biology curriculum years back. I am sure you missed that section of the biology curriculum. Before you ignorantly reply me. Go to your favorite search engine and ask if excessive consumption of protein reduces lifespan. |
| Re: Is A Carnivore Only Diet Safe For Long‑Term Health? by Azazyel: 7:16pm On Dec 22, 2025 |
Earthstorms:Those are assumptions. They're not true. It doesn't reduce anyone's lifespan. Anything taken in excess is definitely harmful. Even fasting has to be done moderately. Consumption of veggies in excess too can be toxic even fruits. Nothing must be done in excess. Initially you didn't use the word "excessive". You just said proteins generally. I'll tell you now that the body needs proteins mostly out of the other classes of food. That doesn't mean the other classes of food should be forsaken. Proteins are so important for children, teenagers and adults. Fish, meat, egg, milk are quite proteinous. These foods must be part of your diet in one way or the other. The human body is not programmed to function properly without adequate proteins. I was expecting you to even say excess meat consumption is bad but you just packed everything together and said proteins. Meat is not the only proteinous food. There is also another misconception among you people that when people see protein in urine it means there's too much protein. It's actually not the case. Proteinuria has several underlying causes that is usually not due to protein itself. When pregnant women test positive for proteins in urinalysis, it is usually normal in small levels. It doesn't necessarily mean their kidneys are damaged or that they took too much protein. |
| Re: Is A Carnivore Only Diet Safe For Long‑Term Health? by Earthstorms(m): 7:52pm On Dec 22, 2025 |
Azazyel:The initial discussion was on carnivore diet and that is what I was responding to. Note that carnivore diet consists entirely of meat and animal products, excluding all other foods. So I don't not have to use the word excessive in my reply because carnivore diet is already excessive intake of animal protein. |
| Re: Is A Carnivore Only Diet Safe For Long‑Term Health? by Azazyel: 11:02am On Dec 24, 2025 |
Earthstorms:Yeah I agree that the carnivore diet is not healthy. Even if one wants to eat more meat, he or she needs to add fibre and other classes of food to ensure balance. My issue was with the claim made for proteins |

I've been messing with the carnivore diet too, mainly 'cause my gut was a hot mess. It actually did settle things down for me after about a month, but I keep mixing in info from places like https://caffeyolly.com/ just to stay sharp on what my body might be missing or craving. Found a few angles on it there I hadn’t thought about, especially tied to gut stuff and overall balance |
