Hello! You cannot hide robbery and greed. They want to steal from Venezuela.

That's why I said its not about the oil but use of oil to maintain USD hegemony.

See it this way, US incorporated and stock market energy companies get control of the oil fields.

These same companies recoup the vast majority of wealth and profits back to the US .

The oil is traded in USD which ensures that any one wanting to buy crude must source USD inorder to buy the crude which keeps the USD in demand globally and as a reserve currency.

The US govt now can print as much USD to bolster their economy and war machinery since USD will always remain the sole currency accepted in trading crude.

Chavez did not only nationalise Venezuelan crude but kicked out all western Energy companies and then did the unthinkable by ditching the USD as a currency of trade of their oil.

So when Trump refers to Venezuelan crude as US property, he wants to ensure that US oil companies get back to control the exploitative and wealth heist by US energy companies

The goal is not the oil itself, the main reason is to ensure the oil is owned by big US energy companies who will only sell it in USD so as to maintain the US dollar hegemony.

What do you expect when you sanction and bar the most resource country on the planet(Russia) from the US based SWIFT system.

Russia and to a large extent China doing currency swap deals is why the US and western financial and liquidity based economies are faltering.

Crude prices being so low coupled with US unemployment, inflation , consumer loan defaults are all signs the US economy has hit recession.

All their bets were on seeing Ukraine weaken Russia so they can do a land invasion and corner all the resources there but that isn't happening.

The only thing they have now is to control all of Latin America in what is a repeat of the Monroe doctrine .

That's why Venezuela and Colombia are being lined up for freebombs.
