the north made obansajo president in 1999, south west voted for falae instead of obasanjo that time but in 2003 when the fulanis realized that they couldn't control and manipulate obasanjo again as they always love to do to non northern presidents,they mobilized the Northerners against him and supported buhari, obasanjo won the election because of the massive supports from the southwest, south east,south south and middle belts. This is one bitter fact that they pretend to ignore. Other Southern presidents in the past had genuine support and love from the Southern electorates. Tinubu clearly does not. He just likes to pretend he does because he has used a combination of coercion, inducement and destruction of other political parties to get governors to decamp. Tinubu is not genuinely loved in the South beyond half of the Southwest. Tinubu further fumbled his quest for a Southern alliance by convicting Nnamdi Kanu thinking it will get him Northern support. Even Buhari wisely kept stalling the trial in order not to have that on his record.
