Despite the comfort, good environment and strong economy abroad where Nigerians are based, they still pass through a system where they are not really integrated into the system as the white man sees them as a second class citizen. If you are not white white, they won't rate you . The black man does not care as he keeps on chasing the money to care for his family both abroad and from the home he is coming from. We will keep on pursuing happiness whatever it takes.

There’s nothing really new here; it’s just one person's opinion, not the official stance of the state or government. No matter what you do, you’re always going to be the villain in someone’s story. We see the same thing in Nigeria. To me, this just looks like personal drama that isn’t worth the energy. Maybe we should focus on fixing the tribalism in our own backyard—like on Nairaland—before we start tackling global racism. |

SpencerForbes:Yes ,it's for people that feel it's all rosey over there. You just have to do your thing and chase your dreams disregarding the obstacles that comes with it. Also you can't compare tribalism to racism as a racist can go all length you can't imagine. |

...Secondly he waves around a 3rd world flag as if it is worthy of respect... Our leaders have turned us into a laughing stock. Many people genuinely hold this view, even if only a few are bold enough to express it publicly. |
| Re: What Some Of Our Brothers Abroad Are Passing Through by guobe(op): 7:15am On Dec 21, 2025 |
Ekpeitut:Yes he just expressed the way a white man sees a black man from Africa. They feel the black man lives in a bush or caves in Africa. They don't rate Africans at all. |

Ekpeitut:Nigeria is a third-world country and so is three-quarters of the world. Is this the first time you are hearing about it? |

Ekpeitut:Shinedu go and listen to the wise elders close to you if you have any! A lot of Nigeria’s are making the country proud, everything is not leaders! How have you made your country proud?? What innovations/impact have you brought to your immediate environment, if any of this answer is zero then you need to start blaming yourself and people populating other country’s with drugs and claiming and deceiving people that they are hardworking while soiling the image of the Country! ! |

Stop disrespecting yourself in a public figure. Nigeria and Nigerians are not a laughing stock anywhere and take your negative energy elsewhere. Just few days ago, DJ Cuppy won an international award and she bragged about Nigeria, same with AJ and other Nigerians representing the Green White Green flag respectfully across the globe. guobe:The only difference between racism and tribalism is their spellings. There's nothing a racist does that a tribalist cannot do. It's even more troubling that people who have the same skin colour discriminate against one another; that's the highest level of foolishness |

SmartPolician:Can a tribalist call you black monkey and throw a 🍌 banana for you to eat? |

guobe:A fellow Nigerian hating on you, just because you are of a different Nigerian tribe, is WORSE than racism. |

Chivisee:I will respond to this tribal outburst directly. First, what exactly compelled you to address me as “Shinedu”? Why is your reflex response to criticism of government or leadership to drag the Igbo identity into it? When faced with a simple observation or complaint, why do you instinctively search for an ethnic scapegoat? Do you seriously believe Nigeria consists only of Igbos, Yorubas, and Hausa/Fulani, or is this just intellectual laziness disguised as tribal defensiveness? As for “impact,” I am under no obligation as a private citizen to justify my existence or list my contributions to you. One, you wouldn’t believe it anyway. Two, you’re not asking in good faith. You’re only fishing for ammunition to fuel yet another tribal rant. Whether you like it or not, successive governments are largely responsible for the poor image Nigerians face abroad. This is not opinion; it is reality staring us in the face: lack of transparency, zero accountability, entrenched corruption, and a shameful indifference to the insecurity ravaging the country. The list goes on. Fix the rot at the head, and the body will heal. Until then, spare us the tribal deflections, they solve nothing. |
| Re: What Some Of Our Brothers Abroad Are Passing Through by SmartPolician: 8:02am On Dec 21, 2025 |
guobe:There's no basis for that to happen in tribalism because the skin colours are the same. We have seen tribalist people launch an extensive manhunt against tribes of the same country, killing them in large numbers. This has happened in Nigeria and across Africa. This is by far worse than throwing bananas. |

SmartPolician:Those are wars between tribes,if racist start a war nobody will survive it. |
| Re: What Some Of Our Brothers Abroad Are Passing Through by Nobody: 8:10am On Dec 21, 2025 |
guobe:Racist can’t overtly start a war. They can do that covertly or it would lead to world war 3 or even the destruction of the earth. |

madridguy:When you first leave the shores of this country you will curse yourself for making this comment. There is no respect for the blackman, its not just a Nigeria thing, being Nigerian just makes it worse. We need to fix our mindset and country as soon as possible. |

guobe:Oga its rather less painful to collect insults from a stranger than from your fellow country men Nigerians should never complain about racism, when tribalism is the order of the day here. They just call you black monkey, some people call their fellow country men pigs and worse derogatory names |

Chivisee:It is rather very annoying that many are so irresponsible and put all the blame for the state our nation is in on our leaders. Our irresponsibility goes so far that we even refuse to recognise we elected those leaders, either directly or by not bothering to vote at all! But I guess we are that way because we have not yet suffered enough. When we have suffered enough and want to suffer no more, we'd see that we are responsible for our own suffering and that none but ourselves can free our minds, and then decide to emancipate ourselves from the mental slavery we enslave ourselves with and in. May that time not be long in coming, prays I.

* They still pass through a system where they are not really integrated into the system: The way they designed their system, some lucrative jobs are not available to immigrants, only their citizens or blacks born in the country. * The white man sees them as a second class citizen: Not all whites, some can be very helpful. Infact, the system covers for both blacks and whites as long as you’re working. * If you are not white white, they won't rate you. Don’t mind some of their girls you want to toast, some go dey form stupid fear and insecurity, meanwhile na racism underneath. If there are a group of 2 or more, na strong defence be that. For a good majority of caucasian, their default approach is to treat you politely and be friendly, no glaring discrimination. In all, white man dey help pass black man. |

This things don't bother me at all, a racist can call me whenever he feels like, that he's own cup of tea, I don't give a 4uck. |

Mass migration, seriously? When the British sailed across continents colonizing and stealing whole countries on a global scale. Let those who cares about the union jack fly it and let those who wants to fly the Nigerian flag do it. No harm is done to anyone by flying a flag. |

He can wave the flag of Haiti if he so chooses. The rabid lawmaker should take ten seats behind. |

I've always classified what Anthony Olufemi Joshua did as an insult to his hosts. That's a country/people that adopted you as one of their own and granted you full rights as a citizen, and even knighted you an MBE. It would've been less of an insult if he wasn't a British citizen. What he did shows his loyalty to Britain is divided. He may not fully grasp what his actions mean, but he should imagine a Somalian person with immigrant parents using their glorious moments to 'pledge allegiance' to Somalia rather than the people who adopted and made them who they are. That's an insult. All I can imagine is if someone tries this in a Yoruba country with me as Minister of Interior, they'll be on the next flight to their beloved country instantly. |

Ekpeitut:No! It's the people themselves. They think those countries love them and are coming to help them insult and fight their government. They rejoice when Trump and the others called Nigeria a disgraced country. The blacks failed to ask a very important question: "how come the whites are not helping to build our economy and also stop the corrupt officials?" . Rather they claim to be interested in helping you in religion. Are you thinking? These people don't care about you, they see you as a 3rd world devoid of any form of respect. |
