How Testimonies can grow your faith. A woman gave a testimony few months ago, how she danced to altar with shawl as sign for child, God later blessed her with triplets. During the last Holy Ghost Congress, at least two families came to sharing their own testimonies. When you give testimonies, it may lift someone. God will give us all testimonies to share to the whole world. |

The issue with faith nowadays is we all want something in return. It's now transactional. |

Testimonies from the just concluded Shiloh encouraged me in no small measure. I would have mentioned how but have since realized that godly truths are queried, criticized on this platform. 2Cor. 4; if the truth is veiled, it is veiled from those who the God of this world has blinded." Please do not let science, earthly knowledge, failings of church leaders turn you from your relationship with Christ. |

That's a fact. I don't know why the Orthodox Churches don't make room for testimonies. |

Testimony is very good but under the right anointing and true house of God if you go and give testimony in those semi-satan altas pretending as church you are in for a long thing I swear. |

Omooba77:This is not a testimony rather a nature answering to it call.. So practically Ur telling us that other believers, God is far away from them, they don't deserve to have a child abi. We should stop putting God's name in all these fantasies called testimony, God doesn't give children , the man and the woman come together and make these babies , how they do it is totally out of God's hand. Testimony should be how I got saved by God's mercy and how he made me to know his words and also preach it to those who have not heard it b4 Am sick and tired of all these Una self testimony. So if God saved me from entering kidnapper's trap bcoz my car suddenly broke down and the next car that passed me entered their trap does that mean that God loves me more than them, we should all wake up from our slumber abeg |

Franking:There's nothing wrong with asking God to do something for us. He's our father who made us a lot of promises. There's nothing wrong with asking your father to fulfill His promise. |

SmartPolician:You should have said, "you don't know why they don't make room for people to come and lie." So, they know better than you do, the reason they don't make room for people to come and lie all in the name of "testimonies." |
| Re: How Testimonies Can Grow Your Faith by GanagiBitrus: 10:07am On Dec 21, 2025 |
Some testimonies make people to be jealous, not to build your faith. Reason testimoniesvare often scrutinised before sharing. |

Testimonies? Rather praise and thank your Lord for His mercies upon you. Thank amd Praise God. |

Franking:My brother the thing tire me too ooo, what's all this sef... Armed rubbers came to our compound , they ransacked all the flats in my compound buh didn't touch my own flat, people of God praise the lord for safeguarding me.. Is this really a testimony, ar u telling me that even at the point of operation of those rubbers , people in the other flats were not actually praying to the same God Ur praying to for the rubbers not to enter their flats. People should just stop attributing God to everything that favours them alone |

| Re: How Testimonies Can Grow Your Faith by SmartPolician: 10:18am On Dec 21, 2025 |
bakobenjamin198:That's not true. I'm a Catholic. I've seen my church member get Canadian PR and another get a job that helped her move her family (her husband inclusive) to America. In a typical pentecostal church, the two church members would've come out to testify about how they prayed and made sacrifices for these things because they actually did, including seed sowing. But they didn't testify because my church doesn't allow it. Testimonies strengthen the faith of those who want to achieve what God has already done for the testifier. If you choose to lie on the altar of God, that's your call. Orthodox churches aren't quick to embrace changes because they have established global structures through which ideas are reviewed before implementation. Daddy GO doesn't make a pronouncement and everyone starts applying it, NO! |

prinsam30:This, right here, is one of the dumbest things I have heard Christians say. That's why people believe that believers are people who don't have functional brains. Unfortunately, you people keep proving them right. Listen, God made us promises. We have to pray to Him for them to come to fruition (manifestation). You don't go telling a man who doesn't know where the next meal will come from that God has already made him rich. He would think your brain is for decoration. I don't blame some people though; some Nigerian pastors have already brainwashed them. |

Rev.19.10 At this I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, "Do not do it! I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy." No testimony is greater at building faith than the testimony of Jesus |

So SmartPolician:Is just that you don't know where I am heading to. My point is, public testimonies are a bullshit, reason is, there are a individuals who have made it a habit to always appear before the congregation to be given unnecessary testimonies such as, recovering from headache, running stomach, itches on their skins and the like. They make it look as if they are the only ones that God favours above others, or they are the only ones that knows how to appreciate God, thereby, making others feel intimidated and looked down as people that don't really appreciate God, thereby forcing others to come out and lie by given fake testimonies. I have a friend that has been complaining of the same thing in his church, that almost every Sunday, the same faces due appear to give testimonies and it makes them that would prefer to keep their testimonies to themselves and appreciate God secretly feel intimidated and usually forces those even without testimonies to come out and lie just for them not to be seen as ungrateful people that don't want to appreciate God. So, my point is, the Orthodox churches believe appreciating God is a personal thing and should be carried out privately and which is between the person and his Maker and not something that should be publicized. Moreover, public testimonies are not a requisite to making heaven, but your personal dealings with your fellow human beings and your creator. |

bakobenjamin198:You made a very valid point, but remember that this conversation is about testimonies building people's faith. I watch other ministries and their testimony sessions. Personally, people's verifiable testimonies (testimonies whee you can see a clear difference or proof) strengthen my faith. I just think that those churches or ministries should vet what people want to testify about. If it's not worth anyone's time, they will decline such requests to testify before the congregation. |
| Re: How Testimonies Can Grow Your Faith by bakobenjamin198: 11:18am On Dec 21, 2025 |
SmartPolician:Thank God that you got my point. The truth is that, there are countless things that would help build people's faith aside public testimonies. Mind you, I am not against "testimonies," but rather, I am against " Public testimonies," because of its intimidating effect. So, emphasis should mostly be laid on "love," that is, "the love of God and humanity," which is the greatest of the commandments that Jesus gave us which is greater than any bullshit "faith building." |

In September 2014, I was diagnosed with renal failure (chronic kidney disease). In that moment, it felt like my whole world was collapsing right in front of me. I honestly thought my life had reached its end. I spent four long, painful months on dialysis, and then the doctor told me I would either need a kidney transplant or remain on dialysis for the rest of my life. But I refused to give up! 🙏 I turned to God in deep prayer and said, “Lord, You said in Your word that by Your stripes we are healed, and I know You cannot lie.” I held onto His promise with everything in me. Some time later, I stopped dialysis — and by the grace and mercy of God, I am still alive, strong, and healthy today! 🙌 God truly answers prayers. He healed me, and I believe He can do the same for anyone who calls upon His name. No matter how impossible your situation may seem, never lose faith. God is still in the business of performing miracles! 🙏✨ |

There are no testimonies, don't be deceived. They are all self-scamming. God did not ask them to do all that in churches to deceive people |

prinsam30: prinsam30: bakobenjamin198: Lukuluku69:Do you know that your refusal to share the goodness of God in your life is deep rooted in pride and ungratefulness point 1 St. Luke 17:11 And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. St. Luke 17:12 And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: St. Luke 17:13 And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. St. Luke 17:14 And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. St. Luke 17:15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice Glorified God, St. Luke 17:16 And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. St. Luke 17:17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? St. Luke 17:18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. St. Luke 17:19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole. point 2 St. Mark 5:19 Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee. St. Mark 5:20 And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel. point 3 St. Mark 5:30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes? St. Mark 5:31 And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? St. Mark 5:32 And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing. St. Mark 5:33 But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth. St. Mark 5:34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague. |

TradingGod:You just agreed to by submission that rather than take the Microphone and start giving testimonies, praise the Lord thy God. Give thanks, praise Him and go in peace! Go thy way! |

Lukuluku69:St. Question 1: From the scripture above, did LORD JESUS CHRIST tell the man to keep it to himself or tell others about his healing? Question 2: did the man Give thanks, praise Him and went his way, or did he go to Decapolis and told the people of Decapolis about the great things LORD JESUS CHRIST had done for him? |

TradingGod:1. So, you are saying if anyone receievd healings or favour, he/she should go back amd thank the Pastor? 2. Jesus asked him to go show himself to people so that they will know that the Messiah promised has come. It is not a show off thi g or the testimony you have in churches now. It was done to let people know that he is here. Now, when testimonies are done today what do you here? "Olohun Babalola has done it again" "The Lord of Choosen has done it again" "Other Christians denominations will beg you for money" etc |
