The Pitt....... 9/10

It's kinda funny, I've followed The Pitt right from when it was in development, scripted and in production only to get cold feet upon release (probably because I don't think I've watched or followed medical procedurals before).

I started this some months back in September I think, and I really enjoyed the first two episodes. Then I got to the 3rd-4th episodes and that's where I started struggling..... That fourth one I tried like five different nights and falling asleep on every watch. I was about to come hear and slander this show some weeks back due to this struggle.

Late November, I reckon I was in the right frame of mind to go back to it.....and damn, this show was a revelation!! I got hooked to the storytelling, the intensity, the pressure, the acting and top tier writing and happenings in the Emergency Room aka The Pitt.


The characters were top tier engaging and a joy to watch. There's also the dark humour to boot. Despite the medical jargons you're choke full with, it was an eye opening experience how things works in a hospital or at least the American healthcare system.

I can easily see why Noah Wyle won for Best Actor in a drama. Absolutely deserved as well as Catherine LaNasa for Best Supporting Actress. Top tier performance they both dropped as well as the entire cast.

Can't wait for the next drama between Dr Langdon and Dr Santos —the overconfident b!@tch_. Somehow the coloured women in this show are the most beautiful and alluring. Damn. Dr Samira "Slo-Mo" Mohan is a damn beautiful woman. 😍 Even the Nigerian lady playing Dr Collins (too bad she won't be in S2). Beauty everywhere.

One of the projects in recent history I'm thankful I went back to and gave benefit of the doubt. Easily the best show of 2025 and rightly deserved its EMMYS.


To the show runners credit this was a Max production and not HBO as most think. And they retained the top tier quality of their sister station. Absolute peak. Truly HBO-worthy.

So peak that HBO is actually going ahead to adopt this strategy across its production due to The Pitt's success. HBO now wants to make more top tier TV shows with 12-15 episodes per season and returning annually for new seasons.
So, this is unequivocally a huge success!!

The Bear S4...... 9/10

A top top season. Better than the last one by a mile. A much more improvement over the overly chaotic blend that was S3. It still keeps the quality and the charm of the show.

I also liked the focus on Ayo Edebiri this season. Really superb character development..... Almost all the characters have had really good and organic evolution from the very first episode we saw them down to this season. Incredible work. They've all grown.

The dishes and the visuals, pritine as always. This season seems to be more hopeful than the unending dread that was last season.

I was at my wits end with medical shows when i was saw the trailer for this, because they had become all too formulaic and i was so sure i wasn't going to see it, but i reluctantly indulged in it, and it totally blew me away.

The style is niche, like 24, and it added a kind of tense and emotional rollercoaster that just sucks you in, immediately you finish that first hour. The characters did a perfect job, to deliver a not so new "flavour" in the most unique way possible.

And did you notice the deliberate sound design (or lack of it). Scores and songs are like the bedrock of medical dramas, they are like a guide for the different range of emotions, but this show's deciding not to use score or song cues, was a master stroke in hindsight. The scores were replaced by actual EKG sounds, sounds from patients expressing joy, sadness and everything in between, making the whole experience of the show really feel, like one very long shift in the ER. Medics irl praised the show as one of the best depictions of what an actual ER looks like.

And like a proper show, like we used to get in yester years, the show returns for another season next January, exactly a year from the last season....and i am already seated.

Top shelf show tbh.🎉

Pluribus s1 ep 8. 1/10. Was so bored with it. Kept waiting for that dude to arrive america already but noooooo, it's carol and that lady all through the whole episode. They better speed it up.
