A female doctor was mysteriously found dead and possibly naked inside a freezer at a Dollar Tree store in Miami, Florida, on Sunday, according to police and media reports.

An employee at the discount store’s Little Havana location reported discovering a "deceased woman inside the business" during opening hours at 8 a.m., the Miami Police Department told Fox News Digital on Monday. The woman was identified as 32-year-old Helen Massiell Garay Sanchez.

"Female was located inside a walk-in freezer/cooler located in the store’s stockroom," Public Information Officer Michael Vega said.

Sanchez was also naked when she was discovered, CBS News reported, citing police scanners.

"Complainant found a naked female in the cooler of the store," dispatchers were heard saying over police scanners.

Authorities added that surveillance footage indicated no foul play was involved. The investigation remains ongoing. It also remains unclear why Sanchez entered the restricted stockroom area.

I read through, still there are gray areas, the CCTV footage claims no suspicion but CCTV still can't give account of how she got into that cooler naked.

we all have our strong point and genuine reason for our opinions. going by the CCTV footage no suspicious move (you have a point there), going by same footage no account of how she got inside the restricted area, then the freezer (the to me something is fishy).

CCTV in any organisation is usually meaningless. But if one steals from such organisation boom, they will have a clear CCTV footage of the incidence. Same with crime happening in hotels, one just need to be careful.

Wow I never heard this before. The chairlift broke down during a sleet storm while I was riding down the mountain from a day of snow skiing up in the Mount Baldy resort in Southern California. Before long that wet snow had soaked us to the skin as the wind howled up the steep wintry canyon and made the chairs sway so violently I was sure we'd become detached from the overhead cable and plummet 40 feet to our deaths.

That was the coldest I have ever been to date, but despite shivering convulsively, I never got to the stage of feeling hot that you described in the above quote, which is fortunate since I imagine that death comes knocking not long after that sensation sets in.

True. Something similar happened to an African-American lady, she was found dead, partially undressed in a hotel's walk-in freezer. The family suspected foul play but the CCTV footage proved otherwise. She stumbled in there drunk, alone and fully dressed. The death was an avoidable one because she called her mum that she was on her way home from the party at the hotel which was just a few minutes drive. When her mum didn't see her, she went to the hotel to ask if they've seen anybody matching her daughter's description leave the hotel but the hotel staff was very unhelpful. She asked for CCTV footage to check if she actually left the hotel, they told her to go and call the police. This was about an hour after she walked into the freezer and was possibly still alive. The police too were initially unhelpful telling her to wait a few more hours but she kept insisting the hotel must release the CCTV footage. By the time the footage got released and it was seen that she never left the hotel, it was already too late to save her. The lady's family sued the hotel and the state made it a law that CCTV footage must be made available on request especially in the case of a missing person be it child or adult.

But when you are freezing to death, your body actually tricks you to feel hotter and so, people freezing to death often pull their clothes off so they can 'relieve' themselves of the 'heat' they are feeling.

This is a well documented fact among those who get losts in cold blizzards.

The reason for the sudden feeling of 'heat' even when you are freezing to death is because the body dilates all your blood vessels at once since it has been constricting it for long to conserve heat.

when it gives up on the constriction of the blood vessels, there is a sudden rush of heat coming to the surface and you suddenly start feeling warm, become uncomfortable and want to relieve yourself by shedding off your clothes.

Most people don't know that this sudden feeling of warmth is their body giving up and they shed of their clothes, naked themselves even and since the new heat will not last for long, they die of the cold.

My heart bleeds for this young doctor. She probably thought she was in a 'sanitized' and 'safe' country, not knowing that Miami is just a glorified jungle with skyscrapers. Imagine a medical professional dies naked in a freezer and the US government’s response is 'no foul play' just to protect their tourism and business image. If this happened in Nigeria, we would have dragged the police for being incompetent. But because it’s America, people will keep quiet while their system fails them. Rest in peace, Dr. Helen; the 'American Dream' turned into a cold nightmare.
