Igalas really dealt with Igbos like the Fulanis dealt with Ilorin! Igbos were conquered by the Igalas and their land taken and occupied by the Igalas.

A united Igbo and Yoruba will someday reclaim their land from Igalas and Fulanis respectively.

False information. Delta is richer yet only Onitsha developed Asaba you have today

There’s no report anywhere that says SE wants Anioma. You people are the ones who chose to identity with SE because of the similar culture and traditions. You guys are free to choose whatever zone you want to identify with after all the constitution guarantees freedom of association. Good luck

What is Imo and Anambra compared to Delta state?
But you people want to carry Anioma and lump them with Imo to create a new state.
No matter Delta state wealth, Anambra and Imo are more developed than Delta in terms of infrastructure. Your wealth is premised on oil and federal allocation. Asaba is arguably developed today because of Onitsha

The land belongs to Enugu state. If ette prefers kogi, let them pack from the land and go back to wherever the government of kogi will give them.
Meanwhile Enugu govt has over pampered Ette with amenities appointments and development and still they are not contented. Let them compare with towns in neighbouring kogi state and the level of development.

Mr. Man this morning and won't have that time to educate you more. But let me remind you that the Gowon plotted war was not just a war against Igbo. It was a was against the people of the then eastern region. My people suffered from that war even more than some indigenous Igbo communities. My grandmother told me the ordeal of that war and she was always wished and pray that such shouldn't happen again.

My grandmother told me how our women were kidnapped and raped by the Nigerian soldiers. Yam bans and livestock were deserted by the army that they couldn't even see a seed to cultivate when returning from that war. My dad ran into the rumbling crowd and disappeared for over three months and she couldn't found him and she lost hope, perhaps he was killed or captured into the war front by Biafran or Nigerian soldiers.

But it's so disheartening when Igbos keep saying they were the only one who suffered the war, discarding and neglecting our plights without telling our stories who suffered the war even more than some of their communities.
In today's Igbo Odumegwu Ojukwu is their forgone hero while late Lt. Conel Effiong is forgotten in their history.
Everyone suffered and I consider Gen Effiong as the greatest hero of the war. Ojukwu can kiss my bum bum for the mess that his arrogance inflicted on the eastern region.

Asaba is developed because of Onitsha or wetin this one dey talk?
Are you aware that in the entire Anambra state, whenever there's fire outbreak in Onitsha, they borrow firetrucks from Asaba in Delta?

The most prominent fire incident that Obi donated money to traders in Onitsha, where did they get firetrucks that put out the fire from?

Asaba is developed than Onitsha.
Asaba has an airport, when did the entire Anambra state manage to get one?

Delta has a proper stadium that hosts matches. What does Anambra have?

You are running from the East to seek succour in Asaba, yet you ungrateful elements are bad mouthing Asaba.

Same way Anioma belongs to Delta.
Anyone who wants Anioma state in the East should go to the East and collect land there to build Anioma state.

Total balderdash
No matter how much you deny it. Asaba is developed today because of Onitsha. 70% of the properties in Asaba are owned by Onitsha traders. This is something no one can deny except you’re ignorant. I don’t care about your cock and bull stories. I deal with empirical facts only not beer palour insinuations

NB.
You’re pained because the truth can be painful. Thankfully, you have foolishly admitted Onitsha people run to Asaba. This prove to the fact how much they have developed Asaba by building houses, hotels and estates all over Asaba. If this pains you, I don’t care. You can’t talk of the development of Asaba today without mentioning the impact and contributions of Onitsha traders and people. Conversely, you’re the ungrateful and spiteful lot who have refused to acknowledge the contributions of Onitsha people. Shame on you

Have you ever seen people leave where there is water and relocate to the desert?
Onitsha is a barren land of destruction and nothing is working there.

You run out of your barren land to places where there is prosperity. That's why when they tell you to go back to your land, you start crying that they want to kill you.

Delta is more developed than your entire East and that's why you went to steal Anioma to have something to brag about.

You can keep arguing foolishly. It doesn’t change the fact Onitsha developed Asaba . We love it when you keep hating on the SE particularly Onitsha, because that’s one of the drives for our success. We will let our achievements do the talking . When the time comes Anioma will be part of the SE if they want to and there is NOTHING you can do about it other than scratching your blokos in perennial pain

Nigeria owns Iboland. You were defeated in war. Have you forgotten how you begged after Nigerian soldiers conquered you?

When the time comes, we will share that SE into bits. Igala will take parts of Anambra and Enugu, Ibibio will take Abia, Fulani will take inside Abia and Imo, Ebonyi will take the remainder of Anambra. Ekpa will take Imo.

Dey there make pant dey wear you....the men in Kogi state don't show off. It is a highly conservative state, they respect the old order of things.
Wón màn dibò ni.
With 52 mineral resources it is the most blessed state in the entire federation, from Kogi you can get into 11 other states in Nigeria by land or by water.
There's a rock you will stand on Kogi and you will see the middle of Edo State in HD.

If you drop a seed of corn 🌽 on a rock in Kogi state it will grow, that is how fertile the land there is, it looks as if they're poor because the predominant occupation is farming and civil service, we are content with that and most importantly unlike that enugu state we don't use our parents for rituals just to build houses we can't sleep in and own shopping complex where they sell fake drugs.
National iron ore mining company _ Kogi
Borini prono_ Kogi
Ejiba rice mill _ Kogi
Dangote cement factory _ Kogi
BN ceramics tiling company_ Kogi
Ajaokuta steel company ( at a time it produced 60 percent of iron rods used in Nigeria) even the ones used to erect buildings in enugu state under Babangida regime were purchased from Kogi state.

As of 15 October 2025 there are 259 companies in Kogi state.

Don't ever disrespect that state by comparing it to some whose only achievement is the production of coal to power the now defunct steel locomotive trains.

Although I do admit that we have had some leaders who lacked creative ideas on how to to get the best out of the state's resources. Clearly we are not where we should be but that don't mean that we are the worst state in Nigeria today.
Ublaize:
The Ette community should be happy Enugu state assumes ownership. What’s Kogi state compared to Enugu? Kogi state is probably the worst and most underdeveloped state in Nigeria with empty large land mass. Anyway, the culture and traditions of the Ette people can be investigated to know where they fall.

Ogba Egbema/ndoni
Oyigbo

The above mentioned LGAs and communities are indigenous Igbo communities ceded to Rivers State. I have indigenous Igbo spoken friends from Bonny and Opobo but I won't add them since they are dominated.

Igbos make half of Delta State, Igbos are found in part of Benue State and Cross Rivers State. Let's not forget we have small Igbo communities in Akwa Ibom, the part bordering Ngwa and Arochukwu in Abia State.

If these boundaries (though these ethnic groups I mentioned won't agree to Igbo becos of their bad character) are reconnected, Igbo may be even than southwest
Bad character in what way? Such should be personal or are you better in character than all the Igbos? Most people that cheated me in the line of business were not Igbos

Ette Belongs to Kogi, Not Enugu: Community Counters Enugu Govt’s Claim, Cites Legal Evidence | Nigeria News Today

The long-standing interstate boundary dispute involving Ette community has intensified as stakeholders representing the area have formally rejected the Enugu State Government’s statement dismissing reports that the National Boundary Commission (NBC) affirmed Ette as belonging to Kogi State.

In a detailed rejoinder issued through Crownfield Solicitors and signed by Chief Festus Ameh Ogwuche, PhD, the Ette community described the Enugu State Government’s position as misleading, legally weak and unsupported by formal boundary
records.

The Bureau News: Community Challenges Enugu State’s ‘Fake News’ Narrative

According to the rejoinder, Enugu State’s public defense rests only on an alleged “oral denial” attributed to the Director-General of the NBC. The statement insists that no written retraction, circular, or authenticated official communication exists to counter NBC findings already backed by structured boundary procedures.

The Ette stakeholders stressed that the boundary position did not arise from a single letter but from years of comprehensive fieldwork, ethnographic assessments, scientific boundary tracing, and technical delineation exercises supervised by the NBC and the Office of the Surveyor General of the Federation in line with a Supreme Court directive.

The exercises confirmed Ette’s location within Kogi State jurisdiction while accusing Enugu State of persistent unlawful territorial encroachment.

Nigeria News Today: Evidence Points to Kogi State Jurisdiction

The legal team revealed that boundary activities were jointly undertaken with full participation of both states, including Enugu officials who allegedly endorsed earlier boundary positions. However, when the final demarcation phase was scheduled, Enugu State reportedly failed to participate on several occasions, citing logistics and funding constraints.

The community argued that a state that repeatedly avoided demarcation exercises cannot later depend on political press releases to distort established boundary facts.

Calls for Action

Stakeholders demanded that:

1. Enugu State Government should produce verifiable documentary evidence or desist from misinformation.
2. The National Boundary Commission should conclude the demarcation exercise without further delay.
3. Authorities in Enugu should cease administrative interference in Ette pending final boundary enforcement.

The rejoinder maintained that Ette’s true territorial identity is grounded on verifiable law, maps, history and factual administrative records rather than political narratives.

The Bureau News will continue to monitor developments surrounding this sensitive interstate boundary issue as the National Boundary Commission moves forward with its mandate.
