The northern part of Nigeria will never develop this way. You never hear of meaningful things done by their leaders. The people seem to have accepted their lot in life. |

How does this affect the personal development and economic growth of Sokoto state? I expect the husband to sponsor mass wedding for 5000 couples by the New Year. |

Male circumcision 1. Reduces neonatal urinary tract infection 2. Prevents against a disease called phimosis( google it, if you get liver). 3. May prevent against hiv infection 4. May prevent against other urinary tract infections and penile infections Kind of funny that a governor's wife who is doing what amounts to a public health intervention is being abused The only criticism I give here is that Nigeria doesn't have a national health service that covers everyone. Also poor water supply |

dragunov:Oga, that is what we call, advancement. You see, after the treasury has been looted, it is important that the people who would have benefitted from that stolen money MUST undergo advancement. Now, I have a question for you that MUST be answered honestly. Do you consider yourself to be advanced? In other words, are YOU advanced, as an individual? If your honest reply is that you are yet to experience advancement, I have good news for you because with the forged Sokoto ID card that can be sent to in the spirit of advancement, you too can report to Sokoto for the necessary modalities of advancement to be inflicted on you by trained staff wielding rusty razor blades, who may or may not have yet benefitted from a primary school education. God bless our pellow kwantiri-mens. God bless Sokoto first lady! |

| Re: Sokoto First Lady Sponsors 500 Men For Circumcision by Jakumo(m): 4:17pm On Dec 22, 2025 |
SisterAnn:No be small ting. If some of our Akson Gominas can introduce "stomach infrastructure", then the next logical advancement MUST be, as you rightly note, GENITAL INFRASTRUCTURE whereby the beneficiaries will wind up experiencing such serious infections on their staff of office, that they will forget about all other less relevant expectations from the government. God bless Genital infrastructure. God bless our Akson First Lady of Sokoto State, whose innocent mind is ALWAYS fully focused on matters that are truly important in life. God bless all the Public Heirs of almighty Sokoto State. |

If the government can come in for something parents should do is worrisome It says a lot about the level of purchasing power of the people over there |
| Re: Sokoto First Lady Sponsors 500 Men For Circumcision by nairalanda1(m): 4:23pm On Dec 22, 2025 |
Jakumo:Agreed. But Nigerians are not ready to pay the kind of tax or to support the kind of anti corruption measures or economic measures that would guarantee the kind of income that would enable us to have a free national health care service for all. So, we end up with showbusiness government. It's what most people want. To be fair, circumcision in a country with bad water supply is necessary. Again see my first paragraph. Government and people don't want to do what is needed to have piped clean potable water to every house and hut in sokoto state. Because the cost of doing so is hard work and a fair government. Which most don't want |

I should just accept the fact that these northerners are trolling at this point, because it'd be tragic if this is how their so-called elite think. |
