No Other Choice...... 8.5/10

Park Chan Wook continues to prove himself why he's my favourite Asian director. Top tier shït all the time. Has never yet missed in my book.

Used this to kickstart my 2025 Best International film competition and I wasn't disappointed.

The film revolves around a paper industry career man..... seemingly having a good life, good job, a home, a great wife, nice kids and the security of a stable job. All these came crashing down when he's suddenly fired from the place he's worked and climbed up the ladder for 25 years.

The way it perfectly encapsulates the urgency of desperation and the innate feeling of having no other choice than to go to any length to get the desired results. Top tier and entertaining watch all through.
Park Chan Wook doesn't stir away from his staple and themes of crime and loneliness. The cinematography was also top tier and inviting. Great visuals. Great acting.

Surely one of the best films of the year and highly recommended.

Just watched the trailer of this movie and move on and this is the 2nd Kdrama I rated
low this year following “My daughter is a zombie” and both titles are misleading.

Is it the same No other choice I saw last month or another one? For a movie that dillydallied its pacing with scenes which didn't add anything to the plot. It struggled so much to get the point across, amidst some cringey humor which felt like uttering words from a swollen tongue. I'd rate it a 6/10.

Hey man...I can lie to you, on just about anything, but i can never lie to you about movies..

I remember our discourse about the flick some days back, and how you felt Leonardo diCaprio didn't pull his weight, and i was speaking without the context of seeing the film then...

Now that i have seen it, I think Leonardo diCaprio did try to make the very best of what was a poorly written script tbh. The film put agenda first and foremost before anything, and didn't care for any lasting impact, it was just desperately trying to cling on to the current woke thing.

It has absolutely zero replay value in my opinion.

The people rating it high or good are seeing the movie like Edge of Tomorrow and don’t even know why the loop are happening because if they do…..they will see the movie differently.

The writer start the disaster story early and ended it in 49mins which followed the narrative and the title name b4 everything changed and anything from there is about Ai simulation, the reason behind this time loop are never clearly explained but few people knew the details

Spoiler Alert if you don’t want to watch the movie and this is the summary
The main girl son was killed at the end of 49mins and his memories must be harvested to advance the Emotion Engine's development which the main character was involved with and every human being will be replaced by AI with human emotions and the main character also dead in space and want to be with her son too

The running man is a solid 7/10 for me.

Started slowly and weirdly but later became a really interesting movie.
Loved this concluding storyline and how it ended, though i would had Loved if they had included his wife and other acts more in the movie and not just focused on the game show itself but nevertheless, it's a really fun movie, a perfect family and fun time Christmas movie.

Bone lake is a solid 4.5/10

Well This is not your normal top notch scary movie but i enjoyed it regardless.
It really has a nice psychopathic storyline centerd on a holiday or vacation house, i must say it's kind of gore and bloody though especially the last scenes.

Now you see me Now you don't - My honest opinion is that they should just wrap it up already. This movie/franchise has no redeemable feature anymore and I'll be suprised if they even make any profit from it.
A waste of time.

I saw it drop on VOD almost immediately after the cinema drop, then i instantly knew it was diabolically bad..

Like there is so much heist they can do, part 1 was good but they should just let it go at this point 😩

I'm about 50mins into watching Parasite for the first time and my heart don dey cut.

These people are overdoing it already. Surely 3 out of 4 working for the rich family is enough to move y'all out of penury.

I have been burnt before with my overzealous expectations but this crazy film autuer, Sir. Christopher Edward Nolan has never given me a reason to doubt, so i am placing all my bets on him. i have a strong conviction, that this and Dune: Part 3 (2026) will save the film year for 2026.

And by the will of Allah, the most merciful and the most benevolent....i shall be there 🙏🏿

I remember watching one of his movies titled bridge of dragons in the early 2000s. It starred Tagawa and Dolph Lundgren.

Did anybody else here watch it? It was quite captivating.

Bridge of Dragons was one of those movies we watched during Christmas in the villa. Generator running at one of the well-to-do uncle's house, kids sitting on chairs or the floor. Older ones covering the younger ones' eyes when a kissing or séx scene comes on. Good times sha

While it's an interesting or entertaining watch by some extent, it's pretty much lacking and looking repetitive and predictable at this point.

They should just wrap up this franchise already and come up with another sauce. Looked dumb at some point with some pretty lacklustre plot points.

Even the last one that was showing stress was far better and concise than this was.

Whodunit is my worst genre of media...and there is nothing absolutely different they will do, to differentiate it from Part 1 and Part 2.. Just change cast and location maybe, same trope of mysterious murder and the investigation therein...i have had my fill since part 1 abeg 🙏🏿
