6 pro-Wike Reps members from Rivers defect to APC

Six members of the Federal House of Representatives from Rivers State who are loyal to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike have defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) during the House plenary on Tuesday.

The members include:

Dumnamene Dekor (Khana/Gokana Federal constituency)

Solomon Bob (Abua/Odual/ Ahoada East Federal constituncy)

Cyril Hart (Degema/Bonny Federal constituency)

Blessing Amadi (Port Harcourt II Federal constituency)

Victor Obuzor (Ahoada west/Ogba-Egbema/Ndoni Federal constituency)

Felix Nwaeke (Eleme/Oyigbo/Tai Federal constituency)

The lawmakers in their separate letters to the House Speaker, blamed the unresolved internal crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic for their decision to dump the former ruling party at the State and national level.

The defection comes days after 4 of their colleagues from Rivers State loyal to Governor Siminalayi Fubara also defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The defection leaves the House Minority Leader, Kingsley Chinda and one other member as the only 2 surviving lawmakers from Rivers State on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party.

Wike and Fubara are playing a good cop bad cop game.

Unfortunately for them, even if Wike himself decamp to the APC today, Fubara will be their leader except there's a kind of GAC arrangements that's practiced in Lagos state. Even at that, he'll still hold significant influence.
Wike should just swallow his pride, make peace with Fubara and wait till 2031 to continue his dominance plans.

You still cannot see the scenario Wike is putting in play! Bring PDP to its knees so all elected on its platform anywhere he has influence will desert the Party and move over to APC such that in 2027 Tinubu can return and APC govern Rivers State. Meanwhile he remains in Tinubu's government and continue to weaken PDP. When Tinubu is done in eight years he can reassess his options. Wike is not looking to contest any elections in about 5 years.

I saw a video where Blessing Amadi was calling Fubara my leader, I thought it was AI; So it's true . HMMMM

No ideology at all. Anywhere belle face kind of politics. No concern for those that voted them.

Even if Peter Mbah remained in PDP he would have won second term so why decamp to APC? . Pure selfishness, greed and disregard of ideology.

Wike is not a stupid person.

They should vacate their seats ASAP

All the Wike loyalists are gradually returning home.

When Atiku and co left PDP out of greed so Goodluck will lose, Wike became the Backbone of PDP. I personally dont blame him for what he is doing now. Everybody must collect one way or the other.

As dem get mind remove WiKe, our wicked Wike kukuma decided to render PDP useless. By the time all the members wey get level comot from PDP finish, PDP no go get level again.
