Hollywood and American movies has conquered many psychologically.

They think US is the best country in the world when it does not even rank first in healthcare, education, security, tourism or infrastructure.

American movies formatted the brains of a lot of people.
Though truth be told, it ranks first in opportunities !

This is the best thing any foreign government can do for Nigerians.

Your country is not some wasteland to be exploited and desecrated. Your country is your home and you must strive to make it perfect.

I so much love this hard reset to the Nigerian mentality of "I must relocate abroad".
huh huh

Bro, I hate anything relocating abroad. I have on 3 different occasions in my life been given that offer and I declined totally. I prefer working her in Nigeria, making my money here and spend sometime abroad for vacation and come back to my country. That's ME

They say people should continue to apply, so people should continue to pay them application fee, even though they will not be issued visa. Which kind stupidity be that one!

Too many jihadists in Nigeria, I don't blame America.
Re: US to partially suspend visa issuance to Nigerians from January 1, 2026 by Saladdin:
They want to continue milking us via visa fees while knowing very well that they won't give us the visa.

When we shout that Nigerians should present a united front and hold the government fully accountable for insecurity, they proclaim selective genocide. Una eyes don dey clear abi cheesy cheesy

Let me see any of you get the US visa by claiming genocide or persecution grin

Now the foolish people encouraging Trump to intervene militarily. Had he intervene, do you think he'll spare your house or village because you are some "holy Christian"? He'll carpet-bomb and still deny you visa. Then at the end, the country goes from bad to worse.

Its so naive for our people to think that Trump loves them. cheesy. It's all politics to him and when he looks at Black Africans, he doesn't see Muslims or Christians, he only sees "Niggas" who he can manipulate as will.

Finland no longer has free scholarships, Canada's PR scheme is no longer straightforward, New Zealand is planning to hike the visa fee for some of their visa categories, Australia? Don't even think about it, plus the UK has recently introduce some stricter policies, Europe as a whole is currently anti-immigration with a weaker economy. No country is readily welcoming anyone again.

If we like let us continue to watch the government tax us to death and allow insecurity to fester. Let me see where we'll run to next.

Maybe this will knock some sense into us all.

Visa applicants from affected countries may continue to submit applications and attend interviews.

Meanwhile,
Exactly what I tried to emphasize. It simply means "you're encouraged to keep giving us your money for visa applications but be assured that we still won't issue you the visa."

That is Trump headache. When you are too arrogant, talks too much and a bullier nobody respect you anymore. Trump has totally lost respect everywhere in the world the only respect left for him is just he is America that is all and many countries and even within US are waiting for his tenure to compete they will skin him alive.
Lost respect how? Both Israel and Hamas respected him to end their war. Russia and Ukraign are respecting him towards ending theirs. China is respecting him divesting TikTok. So who exactly did he lose respect with?
