S/Eagles work rate is so poor.

&Taking this 1goal lead into last 10mins will put them under undue pressure. They should try increase the tally now.

These commentators are just wack and makes the game uninteresting. They know nothing and keep stating the obvious after long silence in-between. Heck they don't even the Tanzanian players name, apparently because they don't know them.

Is it that they do not have access to the kind of data platforms that EPL commentators use?

That Match is the "Painiest" match for till today. I was in Kano for my NYSC then. Match was at 84 minutes amd NEPA took light, it was really a hot Night, we went out to enjoy some fresh air and look for Transistor Radio to follow Match on Radio Nigeria.

We couldn't get any handy, them about 15 minutes or so later, Light was restored. We rushed inside just to check the scores and confirm whether Nigeria progresses, then we found out that the Match is still on and when checked the Scores!

Till date I have never brought myself to rewatch that match and it has been like 31 years ago.

Still pained. I believe will could have shocked the World with that Team.

Now that it is Osimen pairing Lukman there is a better balance. That pair took us to the last finals in Ivory Coast.

I still prefer playing Lukmon as an outright winger. He’s way more effective out wide than playing narrow or as a 2nd striker or centrally.

Possession is a tool if you use it well and have technical players that won’t make nonsense passes and lose possession unnecessarily. If you can master it, you are most likely to win the game 80% of the time.

We are so disorganized, no team work, no proper ball distribution....and our defence is not solid enough for this competition!

We can get better.
Nigeria is a tournament team.
We get better the longer the team stays together.
We will get deep in the tournament but may not win it because of inherent deficiencies in that team.

To win a tournament for instance you need to have at least 5 or six players that will make the team of the tournament (we may manage that). You need to have a top three defence (don't know that yet). But most of all you need a top three goalkeeper of the tournament. That we certainly don't have.
