The truth is that he is the best one touch striker in that team. He has the best shot control so if you need goals you must give him liberty to change positions as needed.

We have limited goal opportunities in this Eagles team.

This has been a much more even second half so far, although it still feels like Nigeria could pull away if they need to. Or at least, that they have more gears to find.

Nigeria is a tournament team.
We get better the longer the team stays together.
We will get deep in the tournament but may not win it because of inherent deficiencies in that team.

To win a tournament for instance you need to have at least 5 or six players that will make the team of the tournament (we may manage that). You need to have a top three defence (don't know that yet). But most of all you need a top three goalkeeper of the tournament. That we certainly don't have.

I think Lookman, Iwobi, Bassey and possibly Osimhen can enter team of the tournament.

Nwabili is actually decent at PK shootouts so don't write him off.

The problem is that everybody want to pass ball to osihmen even when there is a clear chance to try the goal post, and if you don't pass to him he will complain and quarrel.

Victor Osimhen would like to be a Rashidi Yekini. But his attitude won't let him. There's a huge difference. In some of the teams he was a part of, his own teammates did their best to undermine Yekini. He ignored them and got the job done. Osimhen, on the other hand, plays in a team where he's king; where he's the orchestra conductor calling each and every tune. He still struggles. He's one major reason this current iteration of the Eagles can't be trusted.
