Prophit:It all depends on his location and how busy that area is. Keke drivers made over 300k every month. But, he should make sure the Keke is in good condition. |

Prophit:oga use your money to buy okada and if you are in a good place like Lagos, go into dispatch, buying keke (2nd hand) to me is a waste of resources. gucci20:Good condition? Have you seen a good 2nd hand keke before? Even the new one has a pack up time. |

150k should be fair only if you are a good saver. Outside of that nothing much going on. Keke is best as a side hustle. |

If you stay in Port Harcourt and you're not remitting to anyone, you can make up to 500k monthly or more riding anything, bus, Keke, taxi, truck. The market here is huge and profitable. But if it is Uyo, I don't know. |

If your location is different from Lagos, it's possible. Infact you can earn more depending on how crowded the place is but you see Lagos, Agbero will frustrate you with billing. |

All these speculations are false... Don't try second hand Keke otherwise your license to old age will start at 20s... 500K monthly is not realistic just chilled and lower the expectation to 100K is possible but Police, NSCDC, Nafdac, Army, Air force, Road safety, VIo, Vigilante, SSS, NDLEA, DSS and others will be looking for you if I'm lying try Keke business and see you have to be dodging them at any course... Ha... Keke and securities exchange is 5&6... |

Are there no bills to be paid in the keke riders homes? Won't they feed themselves and their families? How about house rent ? How about school fees for the kids? How about other expenses they will incur? What is the profit made at the end of the day? |

People in transportation business make money. Local transport like okada and keke. The problem is usually poor prior knowledge, followed by womanising and alcohol. |

Lanretoye:I remember my days riding Bolt. You’d see ₦100,000 on the Bolt dashboard and think you’ve made money, but when you check the actual cash in your hand, it’s barely ₦20,000–₦30,000. Why? Because reality hits hard. Bolt takes its commission first. Fuel collects its own share. Car maintenance is constant oil, tyres, repairs. Then there’s police “settlement”, unexpected road issues, and even the food you eat just to survive the day. By the time all these expenses are deducted, the big figure on the dashboard is just an illusion. This is exactly why keke (tricycle) driving in Nigeria is often not as profitable as it looks from the outside. People see daily cash flow and assume drivers are making serious money, but they don’t see the hidden costs. Daily levies to unions, local government tickets, police harassment, frequent breakdowns, rising fuel prices, and personal upkeep all eat deep into earnings. At the end of the day, what looks like good turnover is not the same as real profit. Many keke drivers are just circulating money, working long hours, taking health risks, and still struggling to save or grow. The hustle keeps you busy, but financially, it barely moves you forward. |

Prophit:I was in Aba, last week and met with a young man riding Keke for a living. He was making returns on a hired purchase Keke by paying N85k per week. I thought it was ridiculous, but he said he will meet up and this wasn't his first year. He categorically stated that he normally makes within 15k to 25k daily in Aba.... If he follows his regular routine of getting up by 5am and rest 1 hour at noon. He makes more than N300k monthly in conclusion |

I had 3 Keke's that I did hire purchase with the purchasees for. They all complained bitterly about maintenance cost. Although they loved overloading frequently on market days. If you want my advice, I'll say go for a korope(minibus). Go for an old model and manual drive. ROIs are much higher, maintenance cost lower and far less stressful. Your take off capital is enough for a hire purchase agreement with the purchaser. |

Zocalite:Call it what you may my brother. But the fact remains the same The guy has built a house for all to see, he has no rich bro/uncle overseas but rides his bike from 5am to late. I know him and can say that's all he does. Now, the question is: how many young graduates or teachers can boast of same at the age of 36? I know a teacher that earns: 40000 (well let's leave the disparity in income btw graduates and so called menial workers) for another day. |

Lol, not just Keke but money dey transportation business generally. I say this with full confidence that depending on the location he chooses to be commuting people..like someone here said, 10k per day for 30 days after all other miscellaneous expenses have been sorted...he can make that and more. But second hand Keke is called second hand for a reason o😄 |

If you operate on a busy route and your keke runs on gas, it is possible to earn well over ₦10,000 daily. In fact, during a survey we conducted in Nasarawa State, some keke riders reported making as much as ₦25,000 per day. Their major complaint, however, was not low income but the burden of daily remittances to keke owners, who are often politicians. |
