Algerian and Senegalese soldiers that were most vocal about collecting their settlement were called in for discussion where they were rounded up and killed. Till date they're still collecting taxes from their colonies despite exploiting them of their natural resources. E get why Burkina Faso, Niger and Mali take koboko to pursue them out of their country.

No country brutalised it's African colonies worse than the French which begs the question why is our president frolicking with them?

A call for reparations is usually a long shot but not impossible, some countries have achieved some level of progress in that direction.

Algeria is basing their claim for reparations on an act that was not a crime when it was committed. If anything, they can only get reparations for the ones that were done from 1945 when crime against humanity became an international offence by virtue of the charter of Nuremberg Tribunal after the second world war, not from 1830 whatever....

The Arab slave trade was even far worse than the transatlantic slave trade, the African slaves were castrated in their millions because the Arabs were scared of the Africans impregnating the Arab female population.

Look up the Zanj rebellion ( a derogatory word that the Arabs used against Africans) and look up the origin of the word Kaffir.

Interestingly, both words were used by numerous Muslim scholars and they appear in the Arab religious / Islamic writings.

A simple search online will tell you that reparations are not limited to 1945, whenever whatever agreement or charter was signed. people who were persecuted even before the Luxembourg or Nuremberg tribunals, were still eligible for reparations.
