Dear all, I will be needing advice on what next comes for my house. I was thinking it will be plastering and art works but I spoke with someone today and he said water connector, windows, doors and the rest. philipok, I didn't write you because I think your state will come later. But the decision will be pending after my consultation. I think it's best to let the doors and windows to come in before the plastering and art works.

I will be needing advice on it as the bill of quantities I was following wasn't really arranged on which comes next.

I am currently in same situation and currently reviewing quotes. See the prices i got for my penthouse comprising of 7 windows. I have a total of 43 windows, but I decided to test the waters first with 7 units. I removed the burglary option and I am using a net that will screwed from outside, instead of having a separate rail and profile for it. The guy said he will use Tower profile and glass of 4mm thickness. Still wondering whether that is fine. The highlighted part should be 2ft x4ft , and not 2ft x2ft

For your own quote, why are the prices of the 0.9m x 1.6m and 1.2m x 1.4m windows the same thing?

One way you can reduce price is to remove the burglary proof option. It will be cheaper and even better, security-wise, to have a welder do the burglary proof separately. You can an average of 30k if you go that route.

There is also the option of the type of aluminium profile to be used and the thickness of the glass. I understand that 5mm thickness and Tower profile are desirable. Still doing my research and asking questions though

I am also considering either buying the materials myself and having a fabricator do the fabrication on site while I pay him money for labour. I wonder whether that will save one some costs.

Really grateful if others can contribute too.

You started from the scratch and with hard work and consistency built yourself. You didn't have 10% of the opportunities some had here and wasted.
Like I said earlier, it can only get better with consistency. The referrals and network built outside of this forum through here is enormous and the potential great.
