Presidency Decides Gbajabiamila’s Fate Over Alleged Betrayal Of Trust Former speaker of Nigeria’s House of Representatives and current chief of staff to president Bola Ahmed, Femi Gbajabiamila faces the axe from the presidency over his alleged betrayal of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s trust via his office. A source privy to the development claims that Femi Gbajabiamila soiled his relationship with president Bola Ahmed Tinubu and has consequently lost his place in the heart of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu who prior to this time, counted Femi Gbajabiamila a trusted ally as well as the next governor of Lagos State. According to the source, the president reportedly discovered that his chief of staff, Femi Gbajabiamila allegedly sold appointments into president Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government; an act president Tinubu considers as sabotage and betrayal of the long-age trust he has for him. As result, president Tinubu had wanted to relieve him his position as his chief of staff and reassign him to head a ministry but for the intervention of Remi Tinubu who advised against such a move citing infighting and possible escalation. Hence, while Femi Gbajabiamila remains the chief of staff, his influence and responsibility are very minimal, making him an officer without a portfolio. Also, his governorship ambition has been written off by the presidency. Prior to the development, Femi Gbajabiamila was being tipped for the office of the governor of Lagos State. Following his relegation, Seyi Tinubu and the speaker of the Lagos State Assembly, Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa have been elevated in the pecking order of who becomes the governor of Lagos State. Femi Gbajabiamila is just a figure head Chief Of Staff, he’s just operating in the villa based on vibes, relationship between him and the President isn’t as solid as before, he sold appointments and the President figured out. His ambition to be Governor of Lagos is dead too”, the source stated Even though Femi Gbajabiamila is desperately trying to regain the trust of the president and had superfluously explained the reason behind his alleged offence, the president has seemingly shut the door against him and his governorship ambition. While he remains the chief of staff, he is unlikely going to retain such an alleviated position should president Tinubu be reelected in 2027 Copied

You guys keep pushing this Seyi's narrative. Even though politicians are capable of anything but Seyi succeeding Jide is something that'll not happen. On Gbaja, he seems to have truly lost values recently |

Gbajabiamila's case is not different from that of Elrufai. Both men would need to work hard to regain the trust of President Tinubu |

Salewa97:Lol. You just must find a way to add Elrufai's name to give yourself validation. Between Tinubu and Elrufai, who has to apologise to whom for treachery and betrayal? You just got told that Gbaja sold appointments for a fee after people like Elrufai worked hard to deliver Tinubu in the North. Just like he did Seyi Makinde, Tinubu didn't have to ask them to work with him or recommend a nominee but he did, only to turn around and renege on his word. That's what betrayers and morally flexible people do. But Gbatists call it master strategy. |

Are you saying Tinubu was not aware what this guy did during ministerial appointments? Allegedly, some ministerial positions were sold for as high as N3B. And some people actually thought tinubu was part of the deal. That was why so many people kept quiet. Seems once you become a Nigerian president, you will not even know what’s happening inside Aso Rock where you live. |

aribisala0:Betrayers will always find an excuse. Tinubu did not win Lagos so Gbajabiamila, Obasa and Sanwo-olu worked against his re-election. How many APC states with APC governors did Tinubu win in 2023? Ibadan and Rivers that he managed to "win" were not APC states. Discount that from the number of states he won and you will find out how unpopular Tinubu was in 2023. Wike's successor, Fubara did not also have any good rhong to say about Wike but it took Wike declaring a State of Emergency in Rivers to get Fubara to fall in line. Only for Tinubu to characteristically throw Wike under the bus again when it looked like he no longer needs his service. |

AMINDA:Did you say this? AMINDA:That is what I responded to How did he deliver Tinubu in the North? He was incumbent in Kaduna and the same Atiku he is hobnobbing with won Kaduna State Is that your definition of deliver In 2015 Buhari won 5 on 6 SW states where he had never got 25%and even got 25% in Osun State He also won Kwara Since 1999 nobody has won election without winning Kwara. Buhari never succeeded there until Tinubu backed him Take it to Allah Yoruba made Buhari president Tinubu made Buhari president That is what working hard to deliver looks like So if Fulani people are looking for BETRAYERS they should look in the mirror ElRufai played every trick to succeed Buhari and only came out to back Tinubu because the socalled cabal did not trust him and preferred Lawan You people talk as if you are smarter than everyone but you will discover who the Yoruba really are soon We know how you reason and what you will do before you even think it Everything about you is arrogance and deception |

aribisala0:Tinubu got 400k votes in Kaduna. Show me any Southwestern state aside Lagos where he polled better than that. I'll wait. The victory of Tinubu in the North lies in the North giving 5.6m votes despite having a Northerner, Atiku on the ballot. Add these numbers to Atiku's 7m tally and tell me how Tinubu could have won the election. He only got 2m votes in the South. |

In the first place I could not believe that Gbajabiamila took that job from Tinubu. As a Speaker, it was below him. Gbaja can become the Lagos State Governor if he so wish. Tinubu is not a Lagosian and Gbaja has more influence than him in Lagos. Do not forget that Tinubu lost the fight with Fashola on Second Term. Forget Seyi. His father cannot help him in Lagos if a bona fide Lagosian contest. Lagosian even have more sympathy for Ambode, a nonLagosian who lost his second term to Tinubu's choice. Funny, isn't it? |

AMINDA:IRRELEVANT You claimed he delivered You also pointed Tinubu lost Lagos I agree You cannot go back to vomit and start telling us 400 APC won't he governorship IN KADUNA When it was Buhari's turn Buhari won Lagos Presidential election is not just about what you get but what your opponent gets Atiku won Kaduna on ElRufai s watch he cannot claim to have delivered in the North if Atiku did so well in the North Buhari won 2015 because Jonathan did poorly in the SW ElRufai cannot claim credit As a matter of fact many believe he worked for Atiku |

| Re: Presidency Decides Gbajabiamila’s Fate Over Alleged Betrayal Of Trust by AMINDA: 9:36pm On Dec 25, 2025 |
aribisala0:Tinubu won only 2 states in the entire Northwest but won the region overall amongst all contestants. I don't have to teach you mathematics if you can't do the numbers. Many APC governors in the North and South ( Ebonyi, Imo, Cross Rivers, Lagos) failed to deliver Tinubu in the presidential election despite winning their own elections under the APC comfortably. Goes to show you how unpopular Tinubu is and why the 36 state governors decamping to APC will not save him. |
| Re: Presidency Decides Gbajabiamila’s Fate Over Alleged Betrayal Of Trust by aribisala0(m): 9:40pm On Dec 25, 2025 |
AMINDA:Irrelevant The Nigerian presidential election is not won by simple majority That is one illiterate mistake many people make All state are equal You must get 25% in 24 states You claimed HE DELIVERED are you changing definition of delivered Tell us how Atiku performed in the North That is what really matters the capacity to block and thwart opponents Blocking Jonathan in the SW is the reason Buhari won it is not by saying million this million that Atiku got majority of votes from among the Muslims in the North The North was not delivered by ElRufai |

His governorship ambitions aren’t any where near dead. It can only be dead if he decides to be servitude to Tinubu and APC. If he moves to another party and contests, he will defeat Obasa or any other person APC may field. The ultimate choice lies in his hands. |

aribisala0:If not for El Rufai’s stance and rallying of northern governors and key people to ensure that APC zoned their presidential ticket to the South, do you think there would have been primaries talk more of Tinubu emerging? Have you forgotten Tinubu was already romancing SDP as his second option should he lose the APC ticket? |

Sheuns:Na Little-finger you dey hype like this? Elrufai didn't support Tinubu. Elrufai supported Osinbajo and at the last minute when it appeared Amaechi had some chance, he switched. Hope you know that it was reported that Elrufai's protege bribed some lawmakers to declare Osinbajo President, that's when Buhari was sick. The plan was probably to pull a Yakowa or Suntai on Osinbanjo. |
