It's understandable. Wikipedia stats show that 70% of Nigerian Catholics are Igbos. It should be more than that. The church is very popular among Igbos.

every igbo man is catholic including me who is now a pastor. what happes now is when grow up some of us decided to change to any churches of our choices. even some of us might sill go back when we finds out that the said catholic is better.

Stop making this argument. You are comparing tribes that cannot fill up one state with those who filled up an entire region and still have significant numbers in the South South. In fact, you will rarely see any Catholic parish in Nigeria without Igbo people.

The TIVs are the 5th largest tribe in Nigeria, behind the Ijaws.

I recently left the East. There are more catholic churches there than other churches..

As large as the Roman Catholic church population is, when you come to the number of churches, leave it for Redeemed Christian Church of God. In a street, you can have 2 or 3 RCCG branches/parishes

You need to leave your enclave honestly.. Why comparing Catholic Church with Redeem ?

Redeem churches and branches are 50k(Maximum)globally, while that of Catholic Church is more than 400 k globally(Minimum)…

Mind you, I respect Redeem very well, but comparing it with Catholic Church is ridiculous.

Note, that a Catholic Church can’t have a parish if they are not upto five thousand attendees (Minimum)before a church is constructed and qualified to be a parish, unlike Redeem that can just name a building with less than 1k people as parish..
And lastly, every Catholic Church conducts mass three times for different attendance each parish on Sundays, while that of Redeem conducts only one service every Sunday each parish ..

Redeem influence begins and ends in South west Nigeria..

Catholics have more parishes than Redeem Globally, and also more populated as well

Don't ever mention RCCG when Catholic is being discussed in terms of numbers even with their small parishes at close proximity. Catholic will never allow a parish until stringent population requirements are met

Yorubas have moved beyond serving a Jewish God as dictated by Rome or London. They have founded the best known indigenous Christian denominations in Africa for over 100 years now. Haven't you heard of Celestial Church, CAC, Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Deeper Life, Synagogue Church, Winner's Church, Redeemed Church, Mountain of Fire etc?
Yoruba people when they want to practice Christianity at all amongst other religions they do it their own way not the Roman or British way and they follow what the scriptures say.

All churches are scam so long as they're praying to an imaginary ghad.
