They targeted the Lakurawa terrorist group.
Well done President Tinubu!
He has warned everyone at the National Assembly during the budget rollout. Every terrorist cell will be attacked in the coming weeks. Expect more strikes.

Arewa must not complain. They must allow this important work be done in coordination with the US.

Tinubu and the US are working together hand in hand to get the terrorist cells destroyed.
It’s a thing of joy to all the good people of Nigeria. All the haters of Nigeria can keep lamenting about the good news though.

More strikes are coming. Keep crying.

It should be a tip of the iceberg.

US already knows how to limit intel to Nigeria military whenever they want to carry out airstrike.

Or the moles in the Nigeria government will reveal it to the terrorists and jihadists.

God bless the USA.

I am current enough to know the strike was conducted on December 25, 2025 but the Nigerian government is issuing a statement the following day, didn't you check the date on the statement you uploaded? Have they ever taken this long to respond to statements by Peter Obi?
I understand that Tunubu's government cares about political relevance more than anything in Heaven or on Earth, but I need to raise a question:

Do you know that it is still Christmas day in the US right now?

Have you forgotten how time zones work?

It's still around 11:00 pm, Dec 25, 2025 in New York City. There's a 6-hour difference.

The Nigerian government have not come out to say anything about the strike. This should tell us that they weren't informed and the US government is making it look like they were informed so it doesn't look like an invasion.

If it was Peter Obi that spoke the same time the American government conducted the strike, Bayo Onanuga and his shameless fellow APC spokesperson would have responded with a speed of light, but hours after the airstrike by America none of them have spoken...they have suddenly become dummb.

Shame on the Nigerian government and the compromised military architecture, a deadly strike you cannot conduct for over 15 years was done in just one night.

Now that the strike has started, expect more to come... except the Nigerian government start prosecuting and eliminating known terrorists sponsors and sympathyzers in government and outside government to save face.

Is Pete Hegseth now the spokesperson for the Nigerian government? You people just enjoy deceiving yourselves.

You want the American government to inform the terrorists filled Nigerian government before they strike so terrorists in government will leak the information to their brothers in the forests. Make una dey play, the botched Chibok girls rescue mission already tought the American government a lesson on how not to trust the Nigerian government with Intel.

Talking obvious gibberish. The strike occurred in the early morning of the 26th, which is today. It is being reported as the 25th by the American press, because it is still the 25th over there.

They are just grasping at straws. It’s currently December 25th 10:07 pm in the United states right now. I believe it’s currently December 26th 5:07am in Nigeria right now.
The Nigerian government twitter page and the US Africon page all posted the same time as Trump about 4 hours ago.

The Nigerian ministry of defence even already posted this 21 hours ago on Dec 24th before the strikes happened. The 2 countries are clearly working together.

The statement was issued immediately. Today is 26th now.

The strick was carried out b4 midnight yesterday and i have read the Nigerian government statement from one of the staff of Foreign Affairs ministry around 1:30 am today
Re: US Secretary Of War Commends Nigeria Government Cooperation In Airstrike by Walai(m): 5:16am On Dec 26, 2025
Calm down, even Nigerian government is not aware of the strike plans. They won't give them exact time and location. The US knows the Nigerian Army is compromised. This report is just normal diplomatic courtesy.

d142475:
“Nigerian cooperation”? Are the US guys learners? The Fulani and Jihadi elements in the Nigerian government will tip off their “freedom fighters” in the bush. For any strike to be effective and for terrorism to rooted out through military action, the Nigerian government must be left in the dark about details and specifics of the plan.

Did US use same technology in Afghanistan? 2 decades of war, 2000+ soldiers dead and same Taliban grabbed power back!

Russia lost too in same Afghanistan with all the technology.

You know why they lost? Because they had no know enemy and that is what the NAF is going through. Everyone seems to be a civilian till they wreck havoc.

Morale of the story! No country has the technology to counter a guerrilla warfare except you want to commit a genocide like Israel!
So what are you suggesting? We should leave the terrorists to continue wrecking havoc or government should continue paying them? Afghanistan has a difficult mountainous terrain. Nigeria is different so stop comparing apple to oranges. Some of you type as of you are angry whenever the terrorists are attacked

So, Trump meant business? No wonder, those Northern guys that are associated with Sharia left Nigeria? They got wind of what Trump was planning. Gumi suddenly left the country. Same with Pantami. Even the Muric guy has been quiet of recent.

sovereignty my foot.
kolafolabi:
The U.S. strike on ISIS targets in Nigeria can be seen as a short-term counter-terrorism measure aimed at weakening extremist groups and supporting Nigeria’s fight against insecurity. While it may disrupt militant operations and signal international cooperation, it raises concerns about sovereignty, civilian safety, and long-term effectiveness. Military action alone cannot resolve Nigeria’s complex security challenges, which are rooted in governance gaps, economic hardship, and local conflicts. Sustainable peace requires broader, locally driven solutions beyond airstrikes.

What stopping the Nigerian government from carrying the same air strikes and bombing on terrorist locations and logistics support?
The military system has been compromised over the years. They are just trying to weed all the compromised commanders and solders with solidarity to terrorists. If US only gave us intelligence support to do it ourselves, the terrorists would have been given heads up from within the Nigerian military. So it's a gradual overhauling process. This is one of the reasons the North is angry with Tinubu. They created the terrorists, they pampered the terrorists, and they have always controlled the govt and military not to fight this criminals. Tinubu knew he couldn't do it without Foreign support. He needs to be thanked.

Nigerians thought Trump was against Tinubu, forgetting Tinubu is a CIA asset and colonizer's puppet.

America, France and even Israel are all coming to support Tinubu not because of any Christian genocide, but because Tinubu is helping them destroy Nigeria and is allowing them to set up military bases from where they can plan a future invasion of the AES.
Also their intervention is to prop up Tinubu and safeguard him against possible military coups.
My fellow Nigerians, please learn to "read the room" 😏

Does Nigeria have a say really? It is not as though if Nigeria says no, the US won't strike, so Nigeria does not have any option than to cooperate. Tinubu cannot willingly agree to US bombings in Nigeria, it gives a clear picture of a president who is weak and not capable of handling his territory. He was compared to cooperate

This is a golden opportunity for the Nigerian Army to finish up these Terrorists and Bandits for once, except they have become an annex of these terrorists.
But again there is more to this than meets the eye. PRESIDENT TRUMP IS NEVER TO BE TRUSTED, HE IS AN EVIL MAN. I see he is trying to bring down Nigeria and really turn Nigerians against eachother. Of all the days he had to attack, why the on Christmas day? Well, if a religious battle finally starts, I am more than ready to defend my faith and my territorial integrity.
If the Nigeria Armed forces had been useful, we wouldn't have gotten to this point. They were busy stealing money, diverting funds, taking up people's land, encouraging Fulani herders and bandits.

I hope commander in chief President Bola Ahmed Tinubu addresses the nation in a timely fashion.

We are under attack as a sovereign nation.

President Tinubu needs to come out and explain, how and why he gave permission for a foreign government to strike Nigerian soil.

Was it approved by Nigerian senate ? was Akpabio complicit.

To what goal or aim is the strike on Nigeria suppose to achieve ?

So many questions,I hope due process was obtained.
