Mr man stop deceiving yourself, America did not seek your approval at all. After America strikes against ISIS in Syria, they made it clear that they will attack them everywhere including Nigeria. Once the great Donald j Trump says it, he will do it. Thank God Almighty for giving us Donald j Trump. More actions, more strikes Sir, let those blood thirsty demons reap what they have sown. |

Good as the US is striking these "Terrorists" hideouts in the North West as they say but this is me hoping against hope that the same US will not be dropping "something" for these same "Terrorists" clandestinely to harm Nigerians and Nigeria as whole. This is me thinking out loudly going by the precedent of those who claim to come and help us. |

Most peaceful Christmas since all this menace, no wonder. Our army are doing great work lately, US intelligence alone is enough. God bless the gallant officers God bless US God bless Nigeria God bless everyone who value human lives |

This report is misleading. The ministry didn't confirm a strike by American forces but rather shared intelligence that has led to successful precision strikes in the North-West. The author was the one institing that it was a US drive but when I read the statement from the ministry, a US strike was never confirmed. |

If you know that this task is too big for you or you lack the political will and effectual strategy to eliminate those nicompoop within a short period of time, it better you stop already. nairalanda1:You have written good English. The fact remains, the North is sympathetic to these Islamic terrorists. That will never change. The solution is still to split the country into regions. Let each region be responsible for their mess. If Northern Nigeria wants the carnage to stop, they know what to do, deal ruthlessly with all terrorists, beef up security at the border & force almajiri to go to school. Until then, this madness in Northern Nigeria is going nowhere. The urgent solution right now is to stop the violence from spreading down south. To do that, there is the need for state policing and regionalization. |

greypencils:It's because you don't know why we have states, that's why you are calling for regions. State creation was not because of 'hausas wanting to split the country'...it was because people were tired of travelling very long distances to regional capital to solve problems. Even if we do as you say, it won;t solve the problem. It is going to take longer and more solutions than that...and that holds for one nijeriya or split country. |

nairalanda1:By regionalization no one is saying states would be dissolved. It simply means a decentralization of power from Abuja. It means states would come together based on common interests and language to forge partnerships that would promote security and economic prosperity. The southwest forming Amotekun is a form of regionalization, the only problem is it's poor legal backing. Already there are regionalized partnerships such as the Niger-Delta development corporation and the North-East development corporation. Other regions need to develop their own frameworks and receive greater degrees of autonomy. |

Shame on federal republic of Nigeria Shame on all so called our leaders Shame on tinubu, head of failed government This attacked shows your total wickness, it shows no choice for you to protect our country, why attack in north west?. This means you doesn't now where isis located?. I assure you US are not here to fix your country, it has its on mission, which will expose to the world soon. If it continues, this will deteriorate the security conditions of the region or the entire nigeria. |

Allowing the strike and allowing the US to use the term ISIS is an indictment on the government who claimed no Jihad against the Christian folks. There was no mention of bandits but terrorists. No mincing words. |

The strikes according Onanuga, is an invasion of Nigeria, and supported by Obi. That man needs mental evaluation. |

greypencils:Many of you base your idea of regions on what you read about the first republic. The problem is, most people in the regions then lived in poverty and suffering. Also, the problem with nigeria is that our idea of prosperity is wrong. Prosperity is not government sharing money among people equitably. Prosperity is productivity. Not selling cocoa and oil, productivity. |

Can the obidient propagandists on the front page rest. These joint US-Nigerian air strikes have been publicly discussed since November as part of the strategy between Nigeria and the US against terrorists. It’s not out of the blue. And Tinubu reiterated it last week that all terrorist cells will be destroyed. So why the dramatic takes? More strikes are coming and it’s all according to President Tinubus security plan. Checkmate to the terrorists and their sympathisers Checkmate to propagandists too. You absolving Tinubu of responsibility for the bombing will only make him look good to northerners - a fine line he has been threading. So continue. Lol!
