As a reminder, ZLT M30 and M30 pro work with the sim but you'd need to work on the mifi for it to work.

How do you guys activate an external SIM when you swap the eSim?
I am asking specifically on this new ZLT X17U, because I couldn't see the toggle button to select eSim or external SIM.

I am trying this on a neighbour's ODU for when he will do SIM swap.
A close menu I see on the router's UI is to logout the eSim.

Anyone of you guys able to activate 50Mbps using registration method be like them change it

I use the airtel 5g smartbox and my current location is about 15-20 minutes walk to the nearest Airtel Mast and when I got the router last year, I used to get the 5g lights, infact all the lights are always on and green. But earlier this year, The 5g lights stopped displaying and sometimes just come on for few seconds or minutes and turn off. The service has detoriated drastically and now I only get four lights (without the 5g lights) on with the signal lights blue most times. I tried everything possible and infact, change the network to 4g and edit the bands to unselect most of them just like I saw on this threads.
Paying the #30k and getting $hitty 20mbps network while I see people using the #25k 50mbps ODU plan makes me feel terrible.
Does the ODU perform better than the 5g Smartbox and if anyone had a similiar experience?
I will really appreciate your feedbacks.

5G/4G doesn’t really matter in this plan cos it’s a speed based plan. I still use my 5g smart box with the ODU sim and Plan on it. I don’t really like how bulky the ODU is.


Get the ODU, if you don’t like how bulky it is, you can easily use the SIM card on your 5G smart box and it would work.

As someone who owns 5G X25 pro Smartbox and two different models of ODU,
Smartbox outperforms ODUs.
I’ve done both speed and reception tests, 5G Smartbox outperforms both.

Your ODU was probably not optimally installed. However, that's not taking anything away from X25 because that box is wonderful.

Get the ODU, you save 5k hehe.

As for the bad network thing it's a very common thing with Airtel. Whenever you experience downtimes like this, contact them via Twitter DM. They'll ask for your router number, tell them the issue is not only specific to you, that it's a general poor network thing with your full area and other users are experiencing same. They'll ask you to fill out some information regarding your address e.t.c & in 2 days max you should be good.

Yes. It should work.

All ODU I've seen have physical SIM because the outdoor units are same model and that's where you can insert SIM

Bro they are not. I think what you meant is that they are of similar structure. They look alike.

We have talked about ZLT X17M, X17U; ZTE G5F, HUAWEI MAX 5. These are different.

I mean most of them share same outdoor unit (the one mounted outside). It's the indoor unit that are different models. I'm talking from my own experience

I have it. It's the lower version of the former ZLT router. If you ask me why Airtel went from top to bottom, I cannot make sense of it.

There's no NFC on it like the former and the bands aren't that much. One good thing about it is the battery life. It lasts about one hour longer than the first one

All the devices I listed above are ODUs and they are different models.

I still believe you're talking about the form factor of the ODUs because they all look alike and, like you have rightly noticed, the IDUs look significantly different. If this is not the case, kindly share the specific models you have experienced.

FWIW, Airtel have been consistent in pairing of their ODU/IDU package in that they have always had different pairs. They may change that in the future but for now all their pairs have been different from previous ones.

I think it depends on the platform you are streaming from sometimes. Like now I've been streaming full HD content since 8pm and it has been very smooth

Which platform you dey take stream live event? I think movies generally do well because they no be live event.

When network is close to average, I stream football games very well but whenever it's bad, it's frustrating. On those bad days, movies stream seamlessly.
