Even if it emboldens the terrorists the more because of local supports then the next step is to balkanize the country so that you can be left alone to kill more of yourselves.

My point is still that its not any recognition in the nick of time as you say. You seem to keep trying to somehow praise him for this when the whole world knows that it was forced on him completely without his say. And with insults and potent threats to boot. There is nothing to praise him for in this. Rather there is a lot to castigate, but you keep trying to spin it to somehow even make him the architect of this and I just cant understand why you bother when the whole world including you knows the truth.

Those of us who have never been participants in the high-stakes game of politics can never fully grasp how complex a task it can become, to deftly balance a multitude of conflicting interests, while appearing decisive and independent-minded to the electorate and to international partners.

Regardless of whether Nigeria's presidency invited this US military participation, or was obliged to extend that invitation by any number of factors, the majority of Nigerians who advocate the concept of peaceful secular democracy will be jubilant at the news of missiles finally raining down on the bad actors who seek to impose a murderous theocracy on Nigeria.

Tinubu is the man who is in the process of subduing a lion with a wooden club, so this is not the time to critique the form and style of each blow inflicted on the roaring beast. We should just be glad that one way or the other, the problem of Islamist terror in Nigeria is being addressed with overwhelming force at long last.
