The Take It Back Movement (TIB) acknowledges reports of recent military action conducted by the United States against ISIS-affiliated elements operating within Nigeria. We recognize the grave threat posed by terrorist groups whose activities continue to claim innocent lives and destabilize communities across the country. While we support genuine efforts to end terrorism in Nigeria, it is important to note that we do not welcome bombing of our country by a foreign power done in the guise of fighting terrorism. We have seen the result of US led interventions in Iraq, Afghanistan, and witnessed the devastating outcome. But we hold the government of Bola Tinubu fully accountable for inability to defend Nigeria’s territorial integrity from internal insurgents (Terrorists, bandits), and foreign aggressors, Donald Trump! Last year, the EndBadGovernance protest called on the Tinubu government to end terrorism in the country. But the government responded with arrogance, and with brute force. Reports documented over 40 deaths, and 2000 arrests nationwide. Children were jailed for 30 days, and were to be tried for treason, a capital offense. Court recently dismissed a treason charge against 11 activists that were jailed for several weeks for participating in the protest. The Tinubu government violently dismissed genuine public concerns on escalating poverty, and insecurity in the country. That Nigerians are unfortunately cheering the ongoing violation of our national sovereignty is a vote of no confidence on the government of Tinubu. Even the constitution of our country, despite its limitations, some of which we have always pointed out, acknowledges that security, and welfare shall be primary purpose of government. But the Tinubu government clearly lacks capacity to deliver on this objective. Sovereignty belongs to the people from which the government derives power. The Tinubu government have also displayed utter lack of capacity to defend the sovereignty of the Nigerian people. There is no reason to keep the government of Tinubu in power. He must go! https://takeitbackglobal.com/2025/12/26/take-it-back-movement-reacts-to-reported-u-s-strike-against-isis-in-nigeria/ |

Nigeria now has two commander in chiefs ,the senior one Trump and the junior one tinubu . tinubu suspended an elected governor for the mere reason that he had disagreement with his godfather and now his own power as CIC has been usurped by a foreign president Trump. karma is a B we told him he will pay dearly |

magoo10:Nigeria has always had many commanders in chief. The person that gave order for the military to withdraw before terrorists attacked that school is one of them. The one that trained terrorists and handed over sophisticated weapons to them without the knowledge of the state governor is also one of them. There are numerous other examples of people acting as commander in chief everywhere in Nigeria |

No one is asking for the US to go bomb Nigeria. But the President we elected is handling things as best as he can. We will support him till the end of the year 2027. |

I find it hard to believe that the US would just bomb Nigeria without the FG's consent. This sounds more like a narrative from the opposition trying to score cheap political points. |

Am not a supporter of Tinubu. If Tinubu should go, you will now install an hausa/ Fulani president to continue abi so we will go back to status quo. When these evil people brought terrorist for personal political gains, they realised to forget the consequences of their actions. Thousands of people died, decapitated, raped, villages deserted and destroyed, many left without source of income, kidnapped of many to demanded huge ransom. During Jonathan some went to USA for support, why now complaining |

The US military action was against ISIS elements in Nigeria, not against Nigeria. I think the TIB has made a valid point that the FG must do more to defend our sovereignty. |
