Let's be practical about the situation. For about 4 - 5 seasons, these set of Arsenal players have been playing without a top 9/CF, and they're goal-scoring players themselves. How do you expect them to quickly adapt to feeding Gyokeres?

When Kai joined Arsenal, he quickly learnt that he would have to work for his own goals, also to track back as at when required and work fervently for the team.

Gyokeres will have to learn and adapt to Arsenal style of football...simple. smiley
Hope you have seen other replies after me.
He (Arteta, because the buck stops at his desk) should learn from the way City plays today.

Before Haaland City played a false 9 for a couple seasons or so and payed for it in repeated Champions league shortcomings. Even Pep saw its limitations, Barca has seen its limitations. Arsenal will also see the limitations of not having a proper, fully functional top 9 working.

If Saka or Trossard cannot maximise the availability of a top 9 they will continue to struggle to score enough goals to win matches and put them to bed and one day it will catch up.

You have a point, but how the likes of Saka, Odegard and Trosard adapt quickly to maximising the availability of a top 9 is what I struggle to see. smiley

It's Arteta's job to straighten things out.

For Goodness sakes, what is Eze is still doing on the bench and why is Merino still in this game? Arteta is so annoying. I hope Brighton equalizes.

Absolutely.

See the Martinelli chance.
That is a 9's bread and butter but this is the first ball Saka has played like that today....after Gyokeres is out...how convenient...

There are issues in this team.

Full time.
Relief for Arsenal.
But.... but....Arteta still has a lot of work to do to win the Prem.
What works for them this season has been the size of their squad.

Even though we won, it's obvious to me now more than ever, we can't win anything.

It seems this team wants all their fans to develop high blood pressure before they eventually win a trophy 😅

Arsenal 2

Brighton 1

A lot of pressure now since 115 Charges FC won Nottingham Forest 2-1.

Common you Gunners!

Let's do this.

Back to the top of the log.
Good one you Gunners.

The second half was somehow, but a win is a win.

On to the next one!

Leave them to be giving excuses......

They are blaming gyokeres instead of wingers not assisting him.

Ridiculous takes..

Don't know what has happened to his game. It has gone to pieces completely.

Once again squad depth has helped them overcome injuries and form loss.

All these scrappy wins are becoming very troubling. We should be winning and completely dominating games like this. All the same, good three points for Arsenal. Glad to see Gabriel back in action. He brought immediate solidity to the defense.

It's good you are noticing it, he won't pass to gyokeres, but suddenly he can pass to martinelli in same position gyokeres has been running....but gyokeres is the problem grin grin

I am a hater, but not a December freak. This is because last two seasons and last three seasons, Arsenal lost the league, not in December but in April and May respectively. So why the December poem when elephant Arsenal can crash at any point in time. Even vs Leicester, Elephant lost the league in May.

Let's digress a little. Do you think Arsenal will still concede less than 15 goals this season to smash Chelsea's record of 15 goals conceded in a whole season?

It's 11 goals conceded by Arsenal already. Can they concede less than 4 goals for the rest of the season?

In terms of what, squad depth? or work to do.
If it is squad depth, Arsenal has the deepest squad this season of all the titlists, and that has worked for them so far but....

If it is work to do it is Arsenal that needs a trophy more than any of those teams mentioned. They have all won silverware recently. That is why we are rooting for the gunners to go the distance and make the league exciting, thus our so called fault finding.
Re: Arsenal Vs Brighton (2 - 1) On 27th December 2025 by Lukuluku69(m): 6:03pm On Dec 27, 2025
Brighton scores twice, losses, Arsenal scores once, takes 3 points.

And that's Three games in a row!

Guys make it happen nah

Why do we always get under heavy pressure in the last 15 minutes of every game? Arteta should figure that and improve on it
