ebonyalhjnr:Firstly, schools don’t just send transcripts by email unless they have an official electronic arrangement with WES. What arrangement does your school have with WES, and what method or pattern has your school used successfully for previous students while dealing with WES? |

udomas:don't you think I must have done that already? these questions arose from issues I noticed while following the checklist and providing requested information. |

Hello everyone Merry Christmas 🎄 Pls for non express entry stream, heard IRCC do later request for bank statements, payslips and reference letter even though you submitted them when applying. How true is this pls? Has anyone experienced this before? |
| Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by Sheron50: 1:16am On Dec 28, 2025 |
Olayibo1:Yes, non–Express Entry applications can take up to two years to process, so updated documents may be requested at any stage of the application. |

Sheron50:Thank you everyone for your input. I have asked my uni to contact WES directly. Should I go ahead to create my profile pending the WES report or wait until I have that? I already have my IELTS result |

My sister applied for for PGD in Canada PGD school and declared that bsc is her highest certification. Actually, she already did her masters and was even doing her PhD. She applied for pgd school because it was much cheaper and using bsc, she felt it would be much better. Now she’s done with her PhD and wants to apply for express entry. She’s worried because if she input her highest academic records which is phd, they might see it that she lied in her first application. Please what can she do? |

Hi family, It’s been 42 days since I submitted more documents as requested for my Pr… it was requested after submitting documents for ITA. I haven’t heard a word… Is this normal guys? |
| Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by chimzyblack(m): 11:34am On Dec 30, 2025 |
KingCassy:She better just continue in the path of Bsc being her highest qualification before the PGD else she will not only be refused she will also be banned and removed from Canada for 5 years. So better continue in that path. |

KingCassy:I believe she already know the answer. No need to try anything else other than to stick to what is already on records else otilo. She made a huge mistake from the beginning, having a PhD doesn’t mean you can’t pursue other interests. My spouse is a Medical Doctor but applied for a diploma and was granted study visa then. |

KingCassy:This is a delicate situation and should be treated with utmost care. Let’s break it down from my experience and some online research: Point 1: What she did during her study permit application is technically wrong but context matters. On her study permit / PGD application, she declared BSc as her highest qualification while she already held a Master’s and was pursuing a PhD. That is considered misrepresentation by omission, because IRCC expects applicants to disclose all completed post-secondary education, even if they choose to apply based on a lower credential. It was done to justify academic progression and cost, not to inflate CRS points. Many people do this without understanding IRCC’s strict disclosure rules. Point 2: Will IRCC find out? Yes, most times the ircc officials can automatically link her previous study permit application as they have her UCI no, biometrics and other key information. Point 3: Next steps for the purpose of express entry, she has to declare her PhD fully and correctly in Express Entry. She must list: • BSc • Master’s • PhD all With accurate dates and documents. And most importantly Include a Letter of Explanation (LOE) proactively The LOE should: • Acknowledge the discrepancy • Explain the rationale clearly • Show there was no intent to mislead for immigration benefit • Emphasize transparency now Point 4: Is she at risk of a 5-year ban? Low risk IF she discloses properly now. Misrepresentation findings usually occur when: • The inconsistency is discovered by IRCC first • There is no explanation • Or the applicant continues to conceal facts Proactive disclosure significantly reduces risk. |

| Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by seunpinky(m): 3:26pm On Dec 30, 2025 |
KingCassy:The decision is up to her, however, if I were in her shoes, I would put my best foot forward. I will proceed with my application, prepare a very detailed LoE covering the academic records, if possible engage a registered immigration consultant to review my application before submission. |

nwizu042:Unfortunately, there is no definitive answer to this. It can take months before you hear back. In my own case, I did not hear anything for like 6 months after submitting ADR. |
