Don't know what has happened to his game. It has gone to pieces completely.

Once again squad depth has helped them overcome injuries and form loss.
nothing happened, he just needs to learn to fit in to Arsenal style of play ,same as Gykores which I won't be surprised to get benched by Havertz soon.

Aston villa are more aggressive than arsenal when out of possession.

Arsenal seems to build up slowly

In terms of what, squad depth? or work to do.
If it is squad depth, Arsenal has the deepest squad this season of all the titlists, and that has worked for them so far but....

If it is work to do it is Arsenal that needs a trophy more than any of those teams mentioned. They have all won silverware recently. That is why we are rooting for the gunners to go the distance and make the league exciting, thus our so called fault finding.
well so far, they are doing the job no matter how shaky it looks, and the shakiness started recently due to the loads of injuries to the defense line...still,they are in every competition, first in the Epl, champions league........they deserve lots of praises so far, actually.

All these scrappy wins are becoming very troubling. We should be winning and completely dominating games like this. All the same, good three points for Arsenal. Glad to see Gabriel back in action. He brought immediate solidity to the defense.
Your team is creating chances, many chances. The problem is decision making in the final third. The deliberate slowing down of the attack at the last second so that the striker is crowded and cut out. That is a problem.

You simply cannot win the title from wing play goals alone. And while I agree that they have not had a consistent 9 for two, three seasons due to poor form and injury to strikers, and have had to adapt their game, now they have spent massively on a top 9, why not play normal attacking football, where wing play is like 80 percent assist and 20 percent goals.
Re: Arsenal Vs Brighton (2 - 1) On 27th December 2025 by hotseat: 6:12pm On Dec 27, 2025
The unexpected goal got Arsenal jolted and gave impetus to Brighton in their attack.

Martinelli's shocking miss only heightened the anxiety of the team who were now praying to hear the final whistle.

What's more important, however, is that Arsenal are back at the top of the Premier League.

The last three or so matches have not been convincing but, Arsenal somehow got the job done and that's the mark of a winning team.

Even though we won, it's obvious to me now more than ever, we can't win anything.
for three good years, arsenal where without a natural no 9 and they were scoring goals at will but with a striker now, the team struggle to score and restore to defensive after scoring just a goal or sometimes two. Arteta is at fault cos the pressure of winning the this season premier league is too much for him to handle. he has already spent about 700m pounds and just a major trophy, FA cup.

442 won't work for Arsenal with our current midfield , the midfield go weak no be small....then go just dey play through us anyhow, especially this Epl wey get very strong midfielders.

I think we should go direct against them. Mix it up a bit, our passing game allows for Teams to regroup and maintain defensive shape and also suck in our defence and midfielders into the attack and once attacks breaks down, we are always open to that counter sucker punch. Villa is not a Team to joke with. Morgan Rogers, Olie Watkins will always punish you.

Then, let our wingers know we have a Number 9 now.

But Eze fired a record hat trick and wrote history against Spurs. Thought he will go on from there to become another Robert Pires but it has all gone bellyup. Abi na Odegaard jazz am.... grin

Yes, it is a good team no doubt. Wishing them the best. They are long overdue for a title and I don't want to see Arteta exit the Premiership without one. He has paid his dues.

I just noticed that, they don't pass the ball to him when they're close to the box, the only person who pass the ball to him was Odegaard and another guy at the start of the match. It's pathetic.

I don't think Aston Villa shares your view though. I expect them to come strong bcoz Arsenal will give them a run for their money.

It will be an interesting encounter. smiley

I am a hater, but not a December freak. This is because last two seasons and last three seasons, Arsenal lost the league, not in December but in April and May respectively. So why the December poem when elephant Arsenal can crash at any point in time. Even vs Leicester, Elephant lost the league in May.

Let's digress a little. Do you think Arsenal will still concede less than 15 goals this season to smash Chelsea's record of 15 goals conceded in a whole season?

It's 11 goals conceded by Arsenal already. Can they concede less than 4 goals for the rest of the season?
Can see the obsession with Arsenal is strong with this one.
Where was your club whilst Arsenal was doing all the bottling?
Are they by any chance a club called Man City, cause if not you are full on suffering from OCD about Arsenal.

Where’s your proof that he actually started it?
Even if Henry mentioned something like that, which I’m sure he never did say Arsenal were out to break Chelsea’s 15-goal record in a season, Henry is just one man and does not represent all Arsenal fans.
Unlike the millions of Chelsea fans worldwide who turned it into a trophy ambition against Arsenal this season, almost every Chelsea blogger and content creator has been crying about it.....😂

the last tap in Martinelli missed from a Saka pass, did you see how he freed himself from those center backs?? That what Gyokorez lacks. Against wolves Saka gave about 4 of those even against Everton, either the defender intercept or the ball pass through the box. You can't keep blaming Saka. Trossard, Merino, Martinelli are hitting targets from saka's crosses except Gyokorez, same cross.. that tell you he needs to improve on his anticipation and awareness. And they can't give him pass when he is outside the box cuz he will give it to the opponents and we start all over again, it kills the team effort.
