Its Lagos government that allowed that nonsense to be happening.

Street fighting should not be tolerated at all as those guys use weapons.

Why has government not done anything about masquerades harassing people or will they pretend they don't see it? Or until the violence turn fatal

How can human beings be caning people that didn't offend them in anyway

Is it not Lagos undecided

Very overrated state... Full of thugs and touts... Ireally don't know what people see in that state

Dirty environs... A friend of mine told me the last time he saw waste management people was last month showed me couple of pictures.. Iwept for the unhealthy state of Lagos that day...

What has your own state government in the East done about thesame thing you are complaining about? Have you ever complained to your state governors about the numerous videos we see online about masquerades assaulting people? Why care more about people that aren't your tribe but you don't care about what they are doing to your own people? You people are really strange humans

Anyone with an atom of sense should be aware of local customs and do all they can do stay on the right side of it.

Growing up, even without the Internet, we knew when Eyo would be "carried", even as children, we knew we had to be careful on that day with our movements.

I have seen broken glasses on cars, severe beatings etc whilst watching from a distance, I also know the people that suffered such would have more sense for next time.

Not all Ẹyọ's will let you bribe them for disrespecting their festival which I think some believe will happen.

Stay your butt at home and respect local customs to avoid stories that touch.

My comments is about fighting on the street which is common in Lagos state. You hardly see such in other countries.

Apologies if my post read heavy handed or personal, baba.

Whilst the fighting on the streets is wrong as you stated, when Èyo is beng "carried", people need to stay at home. A lot of people do, Mainland people know the Island is "tread carefully" or even a no go area for the day not to talk of those on The Island.

Unless you are referring to non Ẹyọ days sha.

People have the guts to fight in Lagos streets because they don't get arrested. For the fact that they always use dangerous weapons, it shouldn't have been tolerated. Eyo day or not

Helinues, "fighting on the street" is the norm in heavily populated, cosmopolitan, multi-ethnic and multicultural megacitys of the world with gangs, cults, cartels etc.

London, Paris, New York, Joburg, Rio de Janeiro etc. You name it. Na the norm. Would have thought this would be fairly obvious to you.

In fact, given our reality, I'd even deem Lagos tame in comparison to many megacities of the world like Sao Paulo and Mexico City for example.

Abeg don't feed the trolls from the region of hate. Lagos does not have major problems and is actually managing well given the extreme burden on her from people from the other States of Nigeria.

Especially those outside the SW.

Not to over stress the point but what happens on Ẹyọ day is not fighting, it's beating and hopefully Obidients will come out on both Ẹyọ and Oro days to receive such. Stay at home on Ẹyọ days and watch it on television unless an emergency is the simple solution

For none Ẹyọ days or Ẹyọ fighting each other, I agree, it is a nonsense that needs eradicating. Actually, I have akwats felt from childhood that people gathering to watch fights in Lagos should also be carted away by the police as it encourages such indiscipline.

Megacities globally (above 10 million in population) have gangs, cartels, mafias, cults etc. They evolve because of the underworld society only mega cities can host.

Define mischief, hate and envy. @wizardofng, why is it that you and your cohorts feel you have the RIGHT and MONOPOLY to insult other tribes, but when given a dose of your POISON you become sanctimonious ranting machines?

You can cry blood from now till infinity. Learn to bridle your tongues when yapping aimlessly about IGBO people and their aspirations.

Nansense.

Lagos has been turned to a theater of thuggery, agbroism, and union banditry. These politicians seeks their assistance during elections and later throw them away with weapons after they have achieved their political aims

This is how we know those who are not Lagosians and likely bigoted haters of Tinubu/Yorubas.

Real Lagosians who love the State, be they Yoruba or Igbos, will tell you Tinubu transformed Lagos into one of the safest States in Nigeria literally overnight.

Tinubu took over as governor of Lagos when armed robbers would write neighborhood, with impunity, to notify residents of their operation date in their hood and how they need compliance to avert killings and deaths.

Yet the person who changed all that you are here insulting. Not hard to guess your ethnic origin.
