Why You Never Hear Of Banditry/terrorism In Jigawa State by DeeFlask(op): 12:13pm On Dec 28, 2025
Jigawa State’s relative security results from a combination of geography, social organisation, and governance. The state’s flat and open terrain provides little cover for armed groups, unlike Zamfara and parts of Sokoto where forests and rugged landscapes allow bandits to hide and operate. Jigawa also lacks a history of entrenched insurgency, as extremist movements failed to gain early footholds due to strong resistance from religious and traditional institutions.
Community cohesion further strengthens security, with closely knit populations enabling effective local intelligence and rapid identification of outsiders. In contrast to Benue and Plateau States, where frequent farmer/herder conflicts drive violence, Jigawa has clearer grazing routes and fewer land disputes. Successive governments have focused on early prevention through community policing and intelligence sharing rather than delayed military responses, helping the state remain largely free from widespread insecurity.
Also sule lamido made sure to segregate the states from Hausa/fulanis/kanuri,most fulanis in jigawa are organized and have been enjoying growth there are even Mexican companies that come to buy cows directlyly from them.

This shalaye reeks of trying to deflect attention.
Who would have known sokoto was the command and control center for terrorists while their foot soldiers were scattered all over zamfara, kebbi, plateau, Kwara, Benue, Oyo, Niger and Nasarawa.
