Dangote, Gummi And The Cabal Currently Running Nigeria by melechpilusof(op): 2:50pm On Nov 21, 2025
I have watched with keen interest to uncover those currently running the affairs of the country because Tinubu is just used for decoration.
When the news of the Kebbi Kidnap broke, Tinubu in a bid to show that he is still in charge tried to assemble a frontier force to go and rescue the girls but they never made it to their destination. They were ambushed. Ladies and Gentlemen, Mr. President is depressed and has been decapitated. Totally powerless.

Those running the affairs of the country are
Aliko Dangote- Economy
Sultan and Sheik Gummi- Religious
Miyetti Allah and Shettima- Political

At this point Tinubu is helpless and powerless and needs our help at this point.
The situation is getting really dire. Nigeria is effective under siege.

Why should we pray for him? Did he pray for GEJ? Let him take his own advice and resign please. Leave prayers alone. He sought to seize power shouting that it's his turn. He should enjoy his turn well.

Who is the governor of your state, Charity they say begins @ home.

If your governor or local government cared about you, or is doing anything for u to better your existence, u wouldn’t care much about the president in far away Abuja.

Your people have failed you, so it is easy much more easier for u, to blame someone else for the failure.

True, HE was too desperate to the extent of agreeing with take a known jihadist as vicepresident. But the deed has been done, even if he resigns the situation will be worse because bcs the vice president will now become the president.

People refused to wake up to the fact that Nigeria is under siege and the noose is getting tighten every second. At this point, they can even take over because Tinubu is now a sheep amongst wolves, if he ever goes contrary to the agreement he will be removed or fall sick and summarily.

Tinubu is in charge.

HgAkpobomeEr:
Tinubu is in charge.
Why Tinubu is not just decorative — the case for him being the true supremo

Bold, high-cost economic reforms under his direct leadership

Tinubu removed the long-standing fuel subsidy, a hugely unpopular but very consequential reform.

He pushed for harmonization (or unification) of foreign exchange rates — ending multiple FX windows.

He’s backed comprehensive tax reforms: broadening the tax base, digitizing tax collection, simplifying compliance, integrating informal sectors.

These are not cosmetic policies. They shake up entrenched rent-seeking structures, realign incentives, and redirect state resources. The scale and direction of these reforms strongly imply a president who is driving, not being driven.
Massive fiscal savings and reallocation of resources
A presidential panel estimated that the removal of subsidy + FX reform could free up ~₦8 trillion annually.

According to Tinubu and his ministers, these savings are being redirected into “targeted economic programmes, expanded social protection, infrastructure, capital projects.”

The Federal Ministry of Information claims that petrol importation has dropped 50% since subsidy removal, reducing waste/leakages.

Interpretation: These are not symbolic reforms. They create real fiscal headroom for the FG. If someone else were truly calling the shots, you’d expect more interest in preserving those inefficient but politically useful subsidy systems, not dismantling them.
Early signs of macroeconomic stabilization
According to a report, after the initial shock, some key macro indicators are improving: inflation started easing (from ~ 34.8% in Dec 2024 to ~ 16% by October-2025).

The same report points to improved balance of payments: a current account surplus, stronger foreign reserves, and deeper market-based forex activity.

Banking and manufacturing: firms are adjusting, improving efficiency, pursuing backward integration, and export growth is rising.

Interpretation: These are not superficial gains; they are structural shifts consistent with a bold reform agenda. If Tinubu were powerless, such systemic reform risks would more likely be blocked or reversed.
Political courage and public ownership of the reforms
Tinubu himself repeatedly defends the reforms publicly, acknowledging the pain but arguing they’re necessary for long-term stability.

His administration has re-oriented its rhetoric around transparency, accountability, and fiscal discipline.

His ministers publicly affirm that the reforms are intentional and purpose-driven (not random or imposed).

Interpretation: He is not hiding in the background. He is owning the difficult decisions, taking political heat, and framing the reforms as part of his vision. That’s not what you’d expect from someone who is merely a front.
Institutional control and borrowing initiative
Tinubu has proposed and secured (or is pursuing) very large external borrowings — signalling he is actively steering macro-fiscal policy.

He has reorganized his cabinet (reshuffles) to reflect performance priorities: placing people in charge of key portfolios like humanitarian affairs, poverty reduction, trade, labor, etc.

According to his administration’s own communications, the reforms are deep, not just surface-level, they require institutional alignment, not passive support.

Interpretation: Controlling borrowing, deploying reform-minded ministers, and pushing long-term policy changes suggest executive leadership, not executive weakness.
Risk-taking posture
Removing subsidy and floating exchange rate are among the riskiest economic decisions any leader can make, especially in a fragile economy. Tinubu could have backed off; instead, he leaned in.

Analysts (and critics) describe his strategy as “shock therapy” , a high-stakes reform model.

Even though hardship has increased (which he acknowledges), he insists on the reforms: “the reform is here to stay.”

Interpretation: Only someone who feels secure in his hold on power, or someone who really is holding power, would push such a program, knowing full well it could provoke political backlash.
Counter-arguments & caveats (why people still think he’s weak, and what those fears tell us)
Short-term pain vs long-term gain: The reforms have imposed real hardship (inflation, cost of living). That fuels discontent, which critics leverage to argue he’s weak. But hardship alone doesn’t mean he lacks power, often, reformist leaders face backlash precisely because they restructure entrenched interests.
Debt risk: The aggressive borrowing strategy raises legitimate concerns. But borrowing is not inherently a sign of weakness, many leaders borrow to fund infrastructure or reform-driven capital projects.
Political opposition: Groups like the PDP criticize his handling, but Tinubu’s continued ability to push through reforms suggests he still holds the reins.

Distribution of benefits: A big challenge is whether the gains from subsidy savings are being equitably redistributed. That debate is ongoing, and some discontent is justified. But the existence of real fiscal reallocation efforts (safety nets, infrastructure) undermines the “just decoration” argument.
Conclusion: Tinubu is not powerless
The scale, coherence, and boldness of his reforms are consistent with substantive leadership, not a ceremonial role.
He has taken on entrenched economic interests (fuel subsidy cartels, FX distorters), which few would dare if they were merely a front.
He publicly owns the reform narrative, defends it, and seems to govern with a long-term vision, even at political risk.
Institutional levers, borrowing, cabinet appointments, fiscal policy, are being used actively under his presidency.
Bottom line: Yes, Nigeria is under serious strain, and the burden of reform often falls first on ordinary citizens. But the argument that Tinubu is “just decoration” overlooks the fact that he is driving real, systemic change. His is not the hand of a powerless puppet, but that of a reformist (albeit flawed) leader, one who is consciously reshaping Nigeria’s economic architecture, for better or worse.

This is so far from the truth. President Tinubu is fully in charge of his administration and is making remarkable progress in addressing the challenges facing Nigeria.
