Which platform you dey take stream live event? I think movies generally do well because they no be live event.

When network is close to average, I stream football games very well but whenever it's bad, it's frustrating. On those bad days, movies stream seamlessly.
I don't usually stream live events because I use cable. And I've come to discover that most of all these free platforms don't have good server, only few do.

Yeah, movies stream effortlessly.

Why should anyone pay 200k for a 1Gbps plan? In Europe, you can get up to 10Gbps for less than 30k in some countries. That's 10x the speed of 1Gbps.

We have been conditioned by these service providers to believe they're doing us a favor or that we don't deserve better.

Well, considering the current realities and market offerings, I think it's a fair price if the 1Gbps is guaranteed rather than best effort.

It actually doesn't make any sense and isn't competitive with the likes of starlink, they also have 100k for 300mbps. The target audience isn't the general public.

do you understand how difficult it is to do business in Nigeria. Loans are at 30% at least, taxes in Nigeria are multiple, complex and never complete. Government is always changing the rules, you lay fibre today, they realign roads and uproot everything. I know how many times fibre has been laid around my house that ended up being damaged. While being laid, you pay every community for accessing their locality and stuff. So no, it's not easy here

Mtn mostly uses their own erected polls for the fibre layout. Government(ncc) can actually regulate all these but they aren't helpful.

You can't compare Starlink to Fiber. In terms of quality, Fiber is superior.

The major advantage of Starlink is coverage.

And yes, 1Gbps is an enterprise plan and not tailored for the general public.

They still lay underground fiber cables across major locations then deploy poles in areas they cover.

The 1Gbps plan is available for everyone and doesn’t have to be limited to enterprises, but the price is quite high compared to other markets, which is largely due to the current Nigerian economy.

Hello, pls, how do you use the hdo app? It came with the UK used TV I bought but it is not working. I can see the movies and everything but the moment I try to open a movie, it shows initializing player and then goes back to the list of apps. Do you know how I can make it work?

The seller of the TV insists that he personally installed it and tested it before sending the TV to me but I can't seem to get it to work.

Although when I put on the TV, I saw a Chinese account on the TV, which I removed and replaced with mine. Don't know if that could be the cause. I will appreciate if you can help

Yes, it's available for everyone but too much for most households (bandwidth and price), so it's majorly for businesses that truly needs it and can afford to pay for it.

If that's the case, have you tried uninstalling it and then reinstalling it again?

1Gbps is actually bare minimum for a family in this current digital age. Tech bros cringe at even 300 Mbps lol.

You have to divide by 8 to know how many megabytes you can download per second. A 20 Gb file with Airtel’s 50 Mbps will be downloaded at ~6MBps, and would take up to 1hr of your time. As opposed to 7 mins with global standard of 50 MBps (400 Mbps)

1Gbps is not bare minimum for a family. It's enterprise level now increasingly made available for homes.

Not everyone is a tech bros that's into some sort of streaming or graphics or heavy downloads. Most tech bros are even fine with 50-100 mbps.

1Gbps is enough for more than 20 people streaming 4K at the same time.
