Southeast Nigeria is the hottest tourist destination on planet earth. Usually we wait for oyibo to say these stats before we believe it but we never will. The amount of ppl that go east in december outnumbers ppl going to mecca for hajj, and they Igbos spend far more when they land (building, buying land etc). There is also a lack of competition. We need far more airlines, routes and airports.

This is true. Imagine paying 300usd on a one way flight in the US for a short istance trip. Though airfares depend on distance and season at times. From Baltimore in Mayland, a spirit airlines once charged 500usd to Los Angeles, which is almost same diatance as Lagos to the UK or south africa route.
