These guys are just taking Nigerians for a ride. If you like, shout from now till tomorrow, nothing will change. The best we can do to have a working nation is to chase them out of power in 2027. We know they'd want to fight even dirtier than they did in 2023 in order to remain there but if the masses are truly ready, they'd prevail.
If we wait till 2027 before challenging them, we will still lose the battle. The best time is now.
Let's find out these legislators that are on oil and gas related committees in tha NASS and drag them for accountability, initiate recall process on them by their various constituents for various misrepresentation offences, any other members supporting them, similar thing surface in his constituency, all of them will wake up and really start checking on the executives which is their duty.
Social media is on our side, the constitution is on our side, let's wake up and unite to have a functional assembly that really represent people and see how governance will transform.

Unilaterally writing off domestic debts owed to the federal government like a monarch while massively piling up foreign debts to be repaid from taxpayers' sweat.
because they control the field locally, real financial gymnastics

So he wrote off debts of money diverted for personal use
So how does he claim he fights corruption
What this means is that officials can loot as they want. After all at the end of the day tif/ nubu would still write it off as a bad debt

After both parties steal, waste and chop the money, the government come use him power write off the debt. It's not just only APC, the entire system is hugely faulty , something is wrong with Nigeria. I suspect with all these corruption, we are still somehow paying our colonial masters one way or the other.

This is sick n gut-wrenching,broad daylight embezzlement n people r clapping for this? Nigeria is gone n Nigerians are 1 of if not the dumbest set of people- tufiakwa

Most of you did not see where it was written that the debt was written off after reconciliation between the FG and NNPC. Money's like this belongs to the federation. Therefore the FG could not have written it off without the consent of the states and LG

Na wah, so people will mismanage nnpc, become billionaires overnight, then government will wipe off the debt ie citizens will shoulder the loss, be pushed in more poverty, meanwhile no arrests, prosecution of the culprits, those same people will use the billions to live large and even influence politics becoming governors, senators and other positions of influence.

Low understanding is your problem. It was written off after reconciliation between NNPCL and the Federation ( your state Governors agreed to it). Go and ask your teacher to educate you. Low HigQ dey worry una.

This is what we're saying.
Corruption of the highest order!!
No accountability whatsoever.
That money was EMBEZZLED.
Same way the so called TAX will be EMBEZZLED.
Nigerians should know that how that tax will be stolen without accountability has already been mapped out
So get ready to start SLAVING for the government without any benefits as is done in other countries
Re: FG Writes Off $1.42bn, N5.57tn NNPC Debt by phadul: 1:42pm On Dec 29, 2025
How can a whole government just write off trillions of Naira of a parastatal misappropriation of funds and calls it a day! angry so tomorrow multiple of this amount will go missing since this is the how we treat such sacrilege by sweeping it under the mat and life continues and of course borrow more to be looted tomorrow as creating ways like tax laws to extract from the public for further looting . Its all well my country

A great mind there.
There can be revolution without protest, without placards without daring guns in the hands of the wicked foot soldiers.
It all start by being politically aware, follow up things, develop the right questions and check out constitution who to ask what and when we are not getting the right answer what does the constitution empower is to do.
If just 10% of Nigerians get this fire, the course of this country will change for better under 10 years.
Understanding our citizenship rights under our constitution and be ready to take responsibility is the way forward

Tinubu must be arrested and sent to jail after his first tenure. How can you write off a debt owed the Nigerian people.

What type of accounting principles is this
Re: FG Writes Off $1.42bn, N5.57tn NNPC Debt by flokii: 3:51pm On Dec 29, 2025
PBAT shouldn't have done that.. it's more like him encouraging corruption in the Petroleum sector.
If NNPCL is owing FG, they should pay up even if it's in installments.
You can't be taxing innocent Nigerians to death with tax laws while you write off huge debts of such magnitude. it's simply unacceptable.
