It's too small compared to the ones Tinubu subsidised for us here in Akure. We bought whole live chicken for 1,500. If na lie make I stand up and pee. Tinubu on your mandate we shall stand....new year will be in Ogbomoso our brown roof haven. Na so we go dey role and Obidients will suffer till 2031. Obi will never be president of Nigeria. If he likes let him climb Mount Kilimanjaro. |

LordBiden:We are our own problems in Nigeria. See how prices of foodstuff have reduced drastically now that Government has opened the borders for importation of foodstuffs. When government closed the borders to encourage local rice producers, all the rice farmers and sellers jerked up prices and even bagging local rice as foreign rice. |

It depends on age and weight.. 5 to 6 weeks old broilers (about 1.5 to 2kg )can go for 6 to N7k. Anything from 9 to 12 weeks ( 3 to 4kg)/is from 12 to 16k . Anything from 14 to 25 weeks can reach 18 to N25k Not everyone likes the baby, soft, boneless chicken you bought for N8k. |

It sounds like it's possible the chicken was sold to you under dishonest circumstances, which is a difficult situation for any buyer. I also wanted to gently mention that sharing a photo of your child eating it might not be the best choice. As parents, our instinct is always to protect our kids, both offline and in the imagery we share of them. The way the photo was framed unfortunately didn't capture your little one in the best light. Of course, you know what's best for your family. I only mention this because we all want our children to be seen—and remembered—in ways that reflect their wonderful selves. |

Jojokings2:You could have made sense if you didn't tag BAT to this, but as a data boy, you have no option... Meanwhile, that Chicken you bought must be suffering from elephantiasis for the price to reduce to #8k... Welcoming you to a new year of more sleep, less productivity..... |

Emzedz:He is not lying, this is 5 weeks broiler, with Ross 308, cobb 500 or arbor acre breed and professional feed, you can get 2kg live weight or 1.4kg dress weight at 5 weeks old. If there is no disease crisis during those 5 weeks, he can raise them with 5k/6k. So a farmer that sold it for 8k will still make nothing less than 2k profit on each bird. Nigerians are genetically greedy, I can tell you for free today that no farmer can spend 15k on the chicken they sold 25k and above. Some farmer made more than 100% profit on each bird they sold. No chicken should be more than 20k no matter how big it is, but greed on the part of farmers will never let that happen. Majority of time, the faults are not just from the government but from we the masses. |
