What rubbish did you just wrote? You actually don't know what you are saying. He was not going to Ibadan, he was going to Sagamu, Ogun State. If I may ask is your brain infested with maggots ? How can you describe Lagos Ibadan expressway as " most kidnapper-infested highways" . Do you live in alternate universe? When last did you hear of kidnapping on this highway?
Don't mind that dummy, Nigerians must Sha talk when they have nothing reasonable to say, just to show they have mouth.

The chartered helicopter could have taken the champ from his hotel in Lekki, Lagos, directly to Ibadan in less than 15 minutes flight time.

For all his brilliance, technique and power as a world-class boxer, Anthony Joshua's instinct for self-preservation was not attuned enough to prevent him from traveling aboard a flashy new SUV along one of the most kidnapper-infested highways on this green planet.

A man worth tens of millions of dollars would have been the hostage catch of a lifetime for a terrorist Fulani kidnapping bandit gang of the sort that set up frequent blockades on that same Ibadan Expressway with regularity. until just a few months ago when security was beefed up in the area.
AJ wasn't headed for Ibadan but his hometown in the Sagamu area of Ogun State where he also comes from a royal family. You know he's also a Prince so he's deeply connected to his Nigerian roots.

I blame Anthony Joshua for this accident, he's only lucky to be alive.
Why will you allow friend who is not used to Nigeria roads drive you along Lagos - Ibadan express road.
"Anthony Joshua and the driver of the vehicle were promptly rescued by security personnel attached to his convoy".
The two dead people were foreigners, does that not mean the driver is a Nigerian?

Ogun state roads are getting frightening. Same condition no improvement.
The emergency response were no where to be found. No ambulance, no paramedics and injured Anthony Joshua was made to sit in police van. At the end only speeches were made by the government to offer condolences after their cronies are done embezzling funds meant to rectify potholes.
Politicians and those who benefited in the shoddy road construction have abandoned the road and opted to take flights for their safety
So the ambulance would have brought those who died instantly back to life yeshuh

This is really sad. Anthony Joshua loves Nigeria even when he has no strong reasons to do so. Losing his close friends like this could make him stay from Nigeria. So, so sad.
In reality despite being British-Nigerian, Anthony Olufemi Olaseni Joshua is from the Sagamu area of Ogun State where he also comes from a royal family, hence he's also a Prince so he's deeply connected to his Nigerian roots and Yoruba roots. That map of Africa tattooed on his upper shoulder isn't done for fancy. He'll keep flying into Nigeria but he'll be more cautious by paying MORE attention to little details.

There's NO doubt, the loss of those 2 gentlemen (Sina Ghami and Latif "Latz" Ayodele) in the auto crash is definitely painful to AJ and even to me and other folks, but we'll pull through the pain and shock WITHIN 3 years.

Imagine, dieing on a trip to a foreign country in what is supposed to be a pleasure trip.

This incident is not good for Nigeria's image sad
Paul walker died in an accident.... I guess the car was over speeding....

Some days back... Call of duty developer died in a crash after he lost control of his speeding super car.... I guess USA happened to those ones too....

I don't know why some of u hate Nigeria so much that u blame her for every evil thing.... When will u start blaming people who do things that cause accidents??

Person dey over speed.... Tried to over take.... Lost control of the vehicle.... Crashed into a stationary truck... Instead of you to at least see it from the point of... Him avoiding the accident if driving at a normal speed... You're still looking for a way to blame Nigeria..... Omóh!!!!

Tinubu, this is exactly why Yahya Bello, Abubakar Malami, and Farouk Ahmed must be prosecuted, publicly, relentlessly, and without backroom deals.

The money these three men siphoned from Nigeria could have built a national emergency response system. Not slogans. Not committees. Real ambulances on every major highway Nigerians travel every single day. Trained paramedics. Dispatch centers. A system where accidents don’t automatically become death sentences.

Anthony Joshua could have died.
His friends were declared “dead” on the roadside, not by doctors, not by paramedics, but by bystanders with no medical training. Those men could have been in deep comas. In functional countries, nobody is pronounced dead on asphalt by guesswork.

And yet you, Tinubu, and Akpabio keep flying abroad for healthcare, enjoying systems built by other people’s taxes, while Nigerians bleed out on highways at home. That is not governance; that is abandonment.

Healthcare and emergency response in Nigeria are no longer “policy issues.” They are national emergencies. Every stolen naira has a body count attached to it. Every protected thief is another mass grave waiting to happen.

Prosecute them, not for politics, not for optics, but because Nigerians are dying in silence while the powerful shop for hospitals overseas.

History will not be kind to leaders who chose comfort over lives.
You call on Tinubu as if you have seen him prosecute one person all his life

Is the road are well planned. Those truck drivers should park outside of the lanes. Not inside the lanes. But of course they are not well planed. The tuck might not even have triangles.

An official spokesperson for Anthony Joshua has confirmed the deaths of Kevin 'Lateef' Ayodele and Sina Ghami, following the road traffic accident in Nigeria.

Ayodele was Joshua's strength and conditioning coach, while Ghami served as his sport and exercise rehabilitation coach.

The two were described as 'close friends and integral members of Anthony's team'…

The question we should be asking, did the stationary vehicle had a reflector? The road safety corps should ensure vehicles have such so as to save lives. Nigerian roads should also have speed limits signages.
RIP to the dead

Apc and Tinubu government left to do Nigeria road used by 99% of Nigerian instead opted to do Calabar*- Lagos road on top of river. What do expect? Lagos Ibadan is the most busiest road in Nigeria with dangerous pot holes on every part of the road, yet Billon's are located for that road every year. I weep for this country honestly.

the whole emergency system is a shit show
they were layed on the floor by bystanders

just zombie dirty crowd doing videos

what a disgraced country
he probably was on the fast lane, then he wanted to overtake two cars and move immediately to the service lane with speed without seeing what's ahead. This is how most accidents of this type happened

people forget that this is not the first time or even second time that aj has been travelling on that road , he frequently travels on that road , if the road isnt good , he wont even have brought his friends . most likely the driver was speeding a lot and couldnt control the car . if the speed wasnt too much i doubt if the impact would have been that much or fatal

There are always stationery trucks on our highways..... I'm glad AJ is going to be okay.

Accidents happen everywhere but Nigeria is death waiting to happen.
Build rail lines, not more roads.
I have said it times over.
Travelled by road a couple of months ago to Benin.
There were more trucks and semis than cars on the highways, parked dangerously on the shoulders, many broken down and abandoned in bad portions of the roads, some moving slowly and causing tail backs or overtaking dangerously. There are just too many trucks.

The highway system is a mess, It wasn't like this a couple of decades ago. Nigeria badly needs to get cargo and cargo trucks off the highway and onto rail tracks.

As for the FRSC, I think a total reorientation away from the disease called 'checkpoints' and into the norm in other climes which is patrol. There should be no broken down or stationary truck or car on the highway for more than an hour.

Long time, Mr. Man.
How you dey.

Well, sad as it is, let us bear in mind that that was an inter-state high way and along such high ways you cannot really expect the same emergency reaction you would expect within an urban area. Even in a developed country such as the US there are interstate highways where emergency reaction will be well delayed.

Before you bite my neck, I am not saying there should not have been suitable emergency frameworks in place oh.

Yong4ever:
No emergency response, no ambulance, in such a deadly situation, this is a disgrace!!!

Helicopter to Sagamu? Haba.
You people make sound as though helicopters dont crash even abroad not to speak of here, secondly the Dangote's of this world drive down that road all the time.
