About 15million naira will get you a decent Hostel in kwara state university malete. With a firm of lawyers managing the property for you, 2 million naira is sure every year. Maintenance and all can be discussed.
The way some of you talk it's clear that you're out of touch with current economic realities.

Let us even assume that the land is already available, what makes you think that 15million is enough to build a hostel?!

Do you even know that a bag of cement is about 10K, a tipper of sharp sand is over 60K, a tipper of gravel is over 150K etc

We have not even talked about iron rods, wood, iron wire, blocks and labour.

You people should stop giving advise in areas where you have no knowledge!

The way some of you make generalizations without singular effort to confirm anything is baffling! I know what I am saying, a 10 room self contain hostel in Kwara state polytechnic and possibly Kwara state university can be gotten depending on the area. I know what I am saying man. I don't know what it will benefit me to come to a forum and spit what I don't know. If you are in doubt reach out to me and I'll send some to you with all papers and legal backings. Thank you for your savage response

So you're telling us that if someone gives you 15 million you will be able to buy land and construct a hostel with 10 self contained rooms?

I hope you know we're in year 2025 not year 2005!

Do you even know how much floor and bathroom tiles cost now?

Do you know the current price of doors?

So you know the current price of a set of Twyford water cistern?

You really do not know what you're talking about.

I never mentioned anything about helping you to build ! I said it will "get you" a hostel. If you are looking to build there are those at roofing stage for about 10million. Don't take my word for it, reach out to me if you have the funds! I created a thread this morning after I responded to this OP topic, do well to check the thread, ill be posting pictures and all as they become available. Cheers

I don't see a future in it. I do what is known as SEO and with the monopoly of Google and AI I think that field will become very challenging in 5-10 years now.

I need back up plans. Plus I need to diverse. I have three beautiful daughters and can't plan their future while putting all my girls in one basket.
Since you mentioned planning for your daughters, land/property is your best bet for generational wealth. With 25–50m you don’t even need to build from scratch new propertech platforms like Keble allows you to spread the money into shortlets in Lagos and even Ibadan, and you still get steady rental returns. Safer than handing all the cash to one business partner.

Oga, don't invest on anything.
.
Just buy land and use the rest to be eating and enjoying your life. Must you live a stressful life? If you die, another person go chop. Just buy land... And Keep enough that can last you for 5 years, and be withdrawing fixed amount on monthly basis like salary.... Enjoy urself, leave investment. Just buying land is enough. Enjoy and focus on what you love to do instead of wasting money on investment that is all probability

Hi all, I started this thread last year but it hasn't gotten enough views and still want more opinions.

Hi all, I need ideas and want to borrow from you all.

If you are family man and have 25-50m loose cash to invest, what will you invest it on?

Please I am not interested in any Japa talks, it is not for me and I won't consider it at all.

I am looking for businesses that can fetch me between 3-5m profit per month.

I am currently on the verge of putting 5m on a farm but want another business that I can invest 25-50m on that is able to fetch me 3-5m per month.
Please can you mentor me on SEO or any side hustle.
Thank u

Hi,

I don't know how relevant this response will be, but if you are still here, you can consider it. I have gone through your comments on this thread, and can deduce that you are a proactive thinker, and not just that, you should like someone who wants to optimize financial security by diversifying her sources of income.

Like you, I was also an SEO expert, I setup websites, Amazon-niche sites and flipped them for profit, worked on clients' site portfolio, wrote valuable content that secured Adsense monetization, and I had my own websites then, especially a tech website that consistently pulled in 60k U.S traffic every month, I was offered $15,000 for it, but turned it down, and within a few months, the whole thing crashed - all thanks to the Google Algorithm update and my life never remained the same again. My mistake was that I didn't diversify and didn't think ahead, so when everything came crashing, I had no soft landing. None of my sites was spared; each time I opened GSC, the graph was pointing downwards. The sites werent getting traffic and so, they weren't making money. I couldn't renew my domains or hosting again.

Well ... that's not what I am here to say.
After the whole crash, I found a new love in Generative AI and Faceless YouTube Automation. I took interest in Real Estate and that's what I want to share with you:

If your goal is a business that can give steady returns, agriculture is one of the few sectors in Nigeria that is both essential and profitable, especially with the current food scarcity. People will always need food, and crops like cassava, maize, and rice have constant demand for household consumption and industrial use (garri, flour, starch, ethanol, and animal feed).

Many investors who start with modest capital are already seeing steady returns by either farming directly or partnering with managed farms where professionals handle planting, management, and harvesting. This way, you don’t need to be on the farm daily, but your money still works for you.

For example, we have a project that you would like and it is called Ikore Farm & Resort Estate. This estate is located in Iseyin, Oyo State, which is known for its fertile soil and environment for farming activities. We offer a model where investors like you can own farmland and earn from fully managed cassava farms.

Since you have kids and are planning for them. This model will favour not just you but them because you will also benefit from land appreciation. The farmland is yours forever, and since the company is going to be farming on it, it remains an asset that will keep producing and generating returns and profits for you every year.

At Ikore Farm, you can own an acre (6 plots totalling 3,000 square meters) of a cassava farm for N4M. The cool thing is that with your 25–50 million, you can scale your investment across multiple acres, diversify your investment, and still earn more returns from the cassava yield, compared to those with fewer acres. Your peace of mind is also secured because the farm is properly and professionally managed by our agro firm.

If you want more information, I can still share details with you upon request, before you make any commitment.

that’s a cheap scam up there like other real estate in nigeria. OP should avoid the scam agent up there.

Interesting. Is your WhatsApp number the one on your profile still?

I will like us to talk. Note that I have since invested money in building ( I know it is a stupid investment and I so regret it ) but I am willing to invest in other areas but it is not the reason why I want to speak to you. Let's talk SEO and site flipping and I suspect we may know each other.

Oga abeg make you talk another thing, those days of crypto coins doing 10x are gone forever!
Oga, with respect — open CoinGecko, sort by 7-day gainers.

JojoWorld (JOJO). $0.27. Up 1013% in the last 7 days. That's a 10x in one week.

The 10x's aren't gone. They're happening right now. The problem is you didn't hold JOJO last week. Neither did I.

That's the whole point. You can't predict which one. So you spread across many and catch the ones that move.

I'm very sure these coins you mentioned are all rugpulls and not serious coins with use cases.

Anyone who puts his money in them will loose his capital because once the people behind it dump and use new people as exit liquidity the prices will crash and never recover, they will just go and create another stupid coin then repeat the cycle

You're right — chasing pumps is how people get rugged. Put everything in one coin hoping it keeps going up, then it dumps and you're exit liquidity.

That's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about risk management.

You spread small amounts across many. One rugs? You lose 5-10%, not everything. One moves? You catch it.

You're not betting on any single coin. You're managing your downside while staying exposed to the upside.

That's how you survive the rugs and still make money in this market.
