he said the bitter truth, our highways are death traps, if you ain't robbed by bandits you get killed by accident from reckless truck drivers that park indiscriminately along our highways, coupled with terrible road design. AJ should have just chattered a chopper instead he's a high profile individual so he should have been more careful with his life.

This tragedy is a direct result of the "anyhowness" that plagues Nigeria. While technically an accident, it was entirely preventable. Responsible drivers know the protocol, if your car breaks down, you immediately deploy warning triangles and hazard lights. Some even go the extra mile by placing leaves further down the road to alert oncoming traffic from a distance.

I’m willing to bet none of that happened here. We call our country a "shithole" and point fingers at the government, yet we refuse to take personal responsibility for basic safety.

Are we not adults? Do we really need the threat of a fine or a soldier's whip to do the right thing? This wasn't just an accident; it was a failure of character.

That's their biggest mistake.
Nigerian road are very different, you can't just come from abroad and jump on that road and start driving. They should have gotten a local driver who is conversant with the road.
