The only time Watkins was seen was when he scored a goal in the 2nd half and when he picked a yellow card. This is arsenal making a bold claim to the throne…City get ready! Still not the best outing for Arsenal, but their not too good performance made one of their main rivalry look like a championship side, especially in the 2nd half. Congrats to The Gunners and all lovers of good things! |

One of Arteta's best decision this season was extending trossard 's contract at the start of the season. Btw what kind of experiment is Arteta performing with eze, not giving him playing time will kill his confidence . |

humberjade:. Arteta really talked into their heads and they became conscious of this error. Meanwhile Arsenal and Barca are flat neighbours when it comes to late goals. They become jittery during injury time. This needs to stop as well. |

A big congratulations to Arsenal!! But sincerely, I knew without a doubt that Villa were going to lose today the moment I saw Emery's formation - playing Sancho as no7, a position he's not mastered; Buendia, in no11. Like how? In this type of crucial match? If you observed very well during the first-half, the Villans struggled to attack, and as for me, the two wings were not really functioning. It was as if Rogers and Sancho were confused about their positions , and as such, they didn't really link up well. If only Emery had brought Sancho to his already accustomed position (no 11), leaving Rogers in no 7, then Buendia left mid-field, the game would have been completely different! Gunners wouldn't have dominated all through. Yes, for real. As for Timber, he too wouldn't have had a field day, because Sancho would have terrorized him. Anyways, congrats to the gunners once again. |

YUNGLURD:. But the 2 headers he missed really show how dangerous he could be. He will adjust soon I feel for him sha. Saka is not confident again. He needs to also step up. He loses ball easily. That's why the left wing was a bit quiet today. He should move forward more and stop losing dangerous balls. |

Aston villa played very well in the first half, but the mistake they made was to come back for the second half, they could have runaway. |

WhiteIverson:Bloody hypocrite! Before the game, you daft lot boasted that Aston Villa will beat Arsenal; but after Arsenal smashed them 4-1, you are now writing this balderdash! You lot are so shameless. Give credit where it is due. Being a fan of an opposing team shouldn't make you unfortunate. Damn. |

Arsenal has remained top of the table feom d very first week of the season. I believe they are gradually overcoming the regular negativity associated with December and January schedules. Injuries happen and luckily new and good legs are recovering at same time. |

ibtommy:Sancho and Borgarde were the weak links especially when Onana was substituted ,compared to Digne and Rogers on Saka side,Tielemans was also dropping in to help them.....I guess Arteta instructed them to take the war to that Trossad side and it paid off. |
| Re: Arsenal Vs Aston Villa (4 - 1) On 30th December 2025 by ibtommy(m): 12:34am On Dec 31, 2025 |
Sccarrr:. I saw that as well. It paid off. Onana's injury was also a plus for Arteta today. Onana was a thorn in his flesh until he was taken off. Let them work on stopping late goals. It's horrible. Imagine if they were leading just by a goal margin? Gabriel going off also added to the lack of confidence at the back. |

At the viewing centre when the match had only started, some Arsenal fans were just shouting, "No Rice, no Rice? What happened to him?" In my mind, I was answering... "At least, there is stew!!" Guess? Trossard!!! Only the gunners had "White, Rice, and Partey!" But the party don go. |
