gabicon:It was U.S special envoys , the U.N peacekeepers were there before the U.S envoys arrived, it was when the envoys arrived the war had to be stopped, all rebel groups plus the government had to ceasefire, nobody wanted to be on the bad side of America, the conditions the rebel groups gave to stop fighting to the U.S envoys that arrived Liberia was that Charles Taylor had to leave Liberia. I watched the live interview with one of the rebel leaders giving the condition, the problem now was how to get Charles Taylor to agree and how to also move him to a safe country for Asylum, George Bush then sent OBJ to talk to him and grant him Asylum in Nigeria which OBJ did , that was why Eedris sang in Jaga Jaga that Charles Tayor was living big life in Calabar. Unfortunately for him Nigeria still gave him up to the international court I think after OBJ and George Bush left power, the Asylum was supposed to give him protection possibly for life but his own case was different compared to some other people e.g Idi Amin

Brendaniel:That was to protect their embassy and staffs. Not to stop civil war in Liberia. Just 21 marines, and you call that an intervention? Don't give the glory of Nigeria and Ecowas to US just because you need a Visa and want to be seen as woke |

Don27tiky:The root of the problem is that the government is protecting the sponsorers of these terrorists and the terrorists themselves, including the ambassador of these ruthless terrorists called Sheikh Gumi. The government keep pampering these guys while they keep committing heinous crimes. |

WorldRichest:That's for Jews, not Christians.....& strictly AMONG Israelite. (Like if an Israelite person blasphemed God in the presence of fellow Israelite!) Get your facts right. IN CHRIST JESUS IS LOVE & FORGIVENESS--A CONCEPT VERY STRANGE TO YOUR RELIGION! Accept Jesus as your own Saviour and Lord too. EVERY OTHER RELIGION WILL TAKE YOU TO A BURNING, ETERNAL HELL FIRE! Stop fighting for your religion, rather, FIGHT FOR YOUR OWN SOUL! |

You Can’t Be a Saviour with Blood on Your Hands The United States under Donald Trump’s renewed leadership presents itself as a defender of freedom and faith, yet its actions toward Nigeria tell a different story. In 2025, Washington suspended key health interventions including USAID and PEPFAR programmes that supported HIV, malaria, and tuberculosis care, leaving thousands of Nigerian health workers unpaid and millions vulnerable. At the same time, Trump threatened Nigeria over alleged religious persecution while ignoring the humanitarian fallout of his own policies. A nation cannot cut off medicine and still claim to protect lives. Such contradictions expose the deeper motive, not compassion but control. Nigeria’s recent economic moves reveal why Washington is uneasy. Selling crude oil to Dangote Refinery in naira, enforcing ticket sales in local currency, and expanding its currency swap deal with China mark a clear shift away from dollar dependency. Combined with its growing ties to BRICS, Nigeria is asserting economic sovereignty and that challenges United States dominance more than any sermon on democracy ever could. Still, Nigeria’s response has been measured and resilient. Rather than capitulate, it funded its own health programmes and diversified trade partnerships. This quiet defiance shows a nation learning to stand on its own terms. Real leadership is not about threats or sanctions. It is about empathy, fairness, and consistency. You cannot be a saviour with blood on your hands, and those who choose self-reliance over submission are not rebels; they are free. |

Brendaniel:Hmmm, I like your spirit, but do u know fighting For Christians in an excuse to invade Nigeria, the Real reason for this invasion is that USA is coming to fight RUSSIA and China influence in Africa with Nigeria as the battleground , by the time Drones missiles and Airstrike starts falling, the Bandits will even be safer than common man because they have guns, Imagine drone airstrikes on a busy market killing only four terrorist and the whole market ablaze.... Yeah that's what TRUMP meant by " GUN-ABLAZING" and " Nigeria even Nigerians will not like what we are going to do" in his speech. |

89green:yes I have. You Muslims are hypocrite just imagine if it was Christians that we’re doing the killings? We too can defend ourselves all we need is weapons from America then we will see who is superior |

| Re: 'Donald Trump Come & Save Us' - Man Hits The Streets Of Abuja by Brendaniel: 4:14am On Nov 08, 2025 |
AstroHenri:If so then Nigeria should quickly take a side now, and for me we should pick the side on America, since that was the only country interested in wiping out terrorists killing Nigerians, did China and Russia show any concern? We should just partner with America in full to make the invasion easier, faster and safer for Nigerians... I mean even if we reject your so called invasion from U.S, are Nigerians not already being killed in thousands from terrorists? And besides if the U.S is going after only terrorists, why should that be a problem if all Nigerians are actually not in support of those terrorists ? |

Brendaniel:In as much I don't support US action, it is the best option for Christians now ... But the aftermath is a long term presence of Us army base in Nigeria, soon they will place Nuclear arsenal in Nigeria in one of there bases which will be a legitimate target during confrontation with Any world power, am sure u know the consequences of a nuclear fallout in Nigeria |
| Re: 'Donald Trump Come & Save Us' - Man Hits The Streets Of Abuja by Brendaniel: 2:03pm On Nov 08, 2025 |
AstroHenri:Blame your leaders who refused to do their job or decided to be biased in their job delivery... They should setup their army base, when people like us are fighting for a better country and good leadership, some people are busy fighting for tribal and religious supremacy, me I want to enjoy any country I claim is my own, if the U.S military base and nuclear weapons will make me enjoy my country, it is better than not having the military base and you are not enjoying your country, and when I mean enjoy, don't think it is only about have money, there are so many other things I also want to enjoy in my country.... |

Brendaniel:People like you don't know history and international relations so I won't blame you, there are over hundreds cases like this in which US promised to help solve a problem, but later the country are in worse condition than they met it..... Who told u US care about Nigerian Christians, of course they won't allow Islamic terrorists thrive but there will be a lot of collateral damage along and I pray me and my family will not be part |

| Re: 'Donald Trump Come & Save Us' - Man Hits The Streets Of Abuja by AstroHenri(m): 8:04am On Dec 31, 2025 |
Brendaniel:U think US will help us, if course that's after they have established a permanent military base here |

AstroHenri:Well, they have started helping, so you are wrong... |
| Re: 'Donald Trump Come & Save Us' - Man Hits The Streets Of Abuja by AstroHenri(m): 8:07am On Dec 31, 2025 |
Brendaniel:But have u ever seen a country the US invaded or try to help that was better rather it becomes worse , check up history of US invasions and then u will know that The situation now is even better, u are lucky we still have a capital and government |

| Re: 'Donald Trump Come & Save Us' - Man Hits The Streets Of Abuja by AstroHenri(m): 10:16am On Jan 01 |
Brendaniel:That's how it always look like in the beginning,. Ask people if Libya , they think they were helping them until USA assassinated their own Ambassador in Tripoli and started launching missiles at the country... At last the later days of Libya is far worse than before their help... If u think am wrong, the result of USA intervention in Libya is what we are facing in Nigeria as the guns from the war spiralled into neighbouring African nations... But of course I prefer US should continue, their fear is better than This Nomads |

AstroHenri:So Lagos is now the whole of Yoruba land? |
| Re: 'Donald Trump Come & Save Us' - Man Hits The Streets Of Abuja by Brendaniel: 10:18am On Jan 01 |
AstroHenri:But the same Libya was still among the top 10 countries in the world with the highest GDP growth in 2025 and Nigeria did not even enter the list... |

Brendaniel:That's because Last bya is also Oil rich , infact the country was divided between the rebels without a Government not and a capital |
