I’m honestly confused.

Are they planning to add N50 to the existing charge, or are they just discovering N50 for the first time, as if they haven’t been charging us all along?

Because every single time I make a transfer, N53 mysteriously joins the transaction. Of course, that N53 never reaches the recipient, it vanishes into thin air, officially labeled “charges.”

So what exactly is new here? Are we paying another N50 on top of the already missing N53, or is this just a dramatic rebranding of the same old deduction we’ve been funding without applause?
Lol..... remember you must not complain.
Stop remarketing Nigeria

It's better this way. Let the sender bear the cost of the EMT levy. Person go say I have sent you 20k. Whereas you go receive 19,950 because of EMT Levy.

The main point here is the sender that will be charged starting from Jan 1st 2026. Previously, it's the receiver that gets charged.
No, now both sender & receiver will be charged. Making a total of 100 naira stamp duty.

We must all contribute tipatipa by force to Tinubu's plan to succeed where Obasanjo failed with his Ghana must go bags of bribes to NASS members in 2007.

Cameroon's Biya has a great student in Tinubu, with the help of France.

don’t apply undue sentiments to everything that you do t support,we should educate and inform ourselves and not spread useless misinformation to make your mischief.the 50 naira charge has been for some time now only that the receiver is charged, for example when you send 10k to someone, the person willl receive the 10k and also get a debit of 50naira or sometimes will receive 9950.done feign ignorance of this
Now both the sender & receiver will be charged. Adding additional 50 naira.

If it worked in Lagos for Agbero Poverty Congress, APC then it must work for the entire country as Almajiri Poverty Congress.

Same winning strategy over 200 million mumus that has worked for 26 years in Lagos for 20 million mums.

No o, you don't need to be confused, the 53 naira you pay then was just your bank charge for transfer, had nothing to do with VAT, already there was 50 naira VAT for every 10,000 you receive, now there will be another 50 naira for every 10,000 you send also, so let's sum up all the charges for every 10,000 naira and above you send.

1. Your bank transfer charge - 53 naira

2. Tinubu's VAT for sender - 50 naira

3. Tinubu's VAT for receiver - 50 naira

Total - 153 naira for every 10,000 for you, hope you understand now, so you can keep supporting Tinubu so he can keep adding more charges for you...

How can you be confused about how Tinubu has been hitting his higher revenue target in August so he does NOT have to borrow money anymore huh

A large crowd of Lagosians was filmed in a long queue struggling to collect a loaf of bread. To maintain order, several military personnel were on the ground to control the crowd. This has triggered a lot of reactions online.
