The Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 election, Peter Obi, along with other political leaders from the South-East geopolitical zone, has officially declared for the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

The leaders gathered in Enugu, the capital of Enugu State, on Wednesday to make the declaration.

They stated that after months of consultations, they had decided to join the ADC and collaborate with other opposition leaders from across the country to “rescue Nigeria from the poor governance of the All Progressives Congress (APC)”.

Peter Obi has killed his political career. He will run as Atiku's vice on the agreement that Atiku will do only one term but even if they beat tinubu which is very unlikely, he will be betrayed. This effectively means that Peter obi will never be president of this country.

Whether the serial party hopper runs on a joint ticket with Atiku or goes solo, one outcome is guaranteed: a crushing defeat and premium tears.

They had their best shot in 2023 and blew it. Since then, the political landscape and dynamics have shifted completely, and none of it favours Obi or the opposition.

All the noise around ADC and the so-called defections is nothing but a mirage, designed to keep keypad warriors busy and manufacture a phantom sense of electoral victory. The Obidients did far more than this in 2023 and still failed spectacularly.

Same tired script. Same recycled hype. Same predictable failure. They never learn, and once again, they’ll be forced to learn the hard way in 2027.
