Thanks everyone. I have gotten it to work now. I downloaded Proton VPN, although it seems to slow my network a bit but at least it is now working.

I connected the proton vpn to my TV alone but I saw online that I can connect it to the airtel router itself. DO you know how to do that? If yes, can you guide me on how to do it?

I think airtel blacklists some sites. HBO should have been working properly if it has an inbuilt video player. It always have to play through dream player which I think airtel blocks it's connection.

I'm not sure of anyway to make it work on router level.

He wanted a streaming app that also had HBO. I suggested he searched for the Netflix app on it but my comment was removed twice which is why I directed him there without mentioning the app name.

Yes that particular app works on both google tv and android tv, I make use of it which is why I suggested it.

So I just did Kyc for the Airtel ODU today (the lady actually came to mine, which was pretty impressiv), the installer said he'd be around to install tomorrow, he wanted to come today but he was asking for extra kudi, me wey nor get shimgbain 😭 However, since I've been here, I've come across several suggestion that one should insist on getting an ODU with physical sim, something laidat. I asked the lady this earlier, she said all the ODU are e-sim, so I'm confused.

If no be because of this festive season, I for say let me use the remainder of this whole page of this thread to curse Airtel and their nightly slow network.

But of course I won't.

You aren't supposed to pay him anything extra. You could pay his transportation to hasten him up though.


Insist they give you physical sim before installation or you could do a sim swap to physical sim after installation.

If you can access the ODU, check if there's a SIM in the SIM slot. If not, you have to do a SIM swap if you prefer physical SIM.

Some times I remove the sim and put in X25 it's still the same result.

What band are you locked to? I noticed that since I locked to band 7 my speed has been consistently high and stable

You can find it in advanced network settings and then again it depends on the device model you have

That's why it's designed as a UPS. It's very safe. Just make sure it's placed in such a way it can easily disperse heat.
